i tend to start a mix hard, then go a bit mellow towards the end :)
like start of with some hard cheese : barcode brothers - sms [future breeze remix]
and end off with some classic dream : westbam vs. red jerry - wizards of the sonic [matt darey remix] :tongue3

Obviously it all depends where you intend to take the set (within reason)

For example, a tune I like to start with a lot is 'Sphere and Accorsi - Set The Mood' Build with some thumpin prog beats, and then build the set towards an uplifting peak and finish.

a good start too is project medusa vs exor moonshine(exor mix)

finish the one and only dreamland

I always prefer to play the Harder side of Electronic Dance Music & a good tune i like starting with is Binary Finary Dumonde Remix :) & just carry on with mainly Hard/Trance Tech/Trance while incorporating Techno & Gabba as much as possible in my set. As well as playing a PvD tune or remix just out of pure respect! & to finish at the moment i really like to end with Liquid Overdose Fearsome Bass Defence. A tune that i heard PvD play :eyespop:

I like starting out with more progressive trance stuff, and work my way into more energetic trance, and finish off with a really melodic & emotional song or two.
