Although I have yet to see the Jail yet I would assume there are other rooms that wouldn't have 50 foot ceilings.

The info sites say there were 26 hangings there, :eek: the last was a double in 1962. Graves with human skulls & bones found in 2007.
They had "the lash" or whip flogging :whip: used as part of criminal sentences in Canada until about the mid-1950s so maybe that happened there too.
