So, as in years past, I've collected bootlegs that surface on the Interwebs, and mailed them out to TAs that want them.

I'm planning to do that again; I'm just trying to get a head start on the address list.

If you're interested, PM me your: Name & Physical Address.
I'll confirm by PM that I have it, and I'll PM you when I send them out.

They usually take about 2-3 weeks after the show to start popping up. Then, they come in waves over the next month as people encode & upload them. Once I get them, I have to convert them to mp3 and tag them.

(if you're interested in the original FLAC versions, I could send those to you instead, just let me know)

Give it to about early June before I mail them out to you.

Again, this is for free. If you want to buy me a drink or hook me up sometime, it'd be most appreciated :D

This is what you're getting:

17 FLACs
1 Movie
36 MP3s

So, 36 distinct bootlegs.

Last year, there were 38 distinct bootlegs.

11+GB, so 3 DVDs.

If you don't want FLACs, you'll just get one DVD.
HotDogWater
how big are they? why not just host 'em?
gehzumteufel
Or just post them on a torrent site and pm the torrent to people?

I prefer FLAC anyways.

Hotdogwater: the FLAC files will be quite large. 1 album of 15 tracks is usually around 400MB.

ya, of course i was thinking more of a high bitrate mp3

Even then, might as well distribute the FLAC version. 320k 1hr sets are going to be maybe 100mb less? Most people here have hd space to spare and a good internet connection.

A couple of items:

Most of the "free" filesharing sites are a pain in the ass to work with, IMHO.
(However, I've used Google Apps a lot, so I might do some research if that could work for this)
In 2008, it came out to 4 DVDs worth (so about 16GB), that's not a small chunk of downloading.
Some of them I'm getting from semi-public trackers (they're public, but have a login). Some of them don't allow reposting.

In the end, it costs me about $2.00 per person in materials to mail them out. I already spend the time downloading, re-encoding them, tagging them, etc... so it's no big deal to spend the money mailing them out.

In any case, either you like my service and terms, or you don't :D
