Pulse 87 is coming to Washington DC

Not sure how well this station will be received by the purists, but those on the board who also listen to the more commercial side of Dance music will get a kick out of it.
It'll sound identical, or nearly identical, to Pulse 87 in New York:

With Chicago and L.A. also getting a Pulse 87 it's going to be one hot summer for crossover Dance music. |

Charles, you and I both are probably the only two getting excite for the news. It takes a while for the "purist" and n00bies to sync in just how awesome it is.
I am very excited for two reasons
1. DC is finally get a CHR/Dance station after so many years when Z-104 (WWZZ-FM/WWVZ-FM) left the airwaves in october 2001. For almost 8 years, we've listening to commercial crap on the radio.
2. I am happy for megamedia because they did the right move. Commercial house music with a little bit of electro is on the rise, and this will be great opportunely for megamedia to capture attention of the nation, Nation Capital that is. |

OMG we're getting a dance FM radio station?
WOOT! I missed having one in LA, as thats how I got started back in 2003, when we had a cheesy trance radio station 103.1.
It'll be nice in the car ride home from the club, when we can listen to the radio and not listen to crap! |

Exactly! They also never give ANY credit to remixers... annoying!
I feel like 87.7 is only good after midnight on certain nights. |

| This station is def a step up from z100 and even 92.3 with their pop music but every song is some vocal house song or remix of a song from z100 or 92.3 :) |

It's stations like these that make people beleive that this is the crap we listen to. I wouldn't touch any of the tracks they play with a 10 foot pole. Yes it will attract the masses but I don't think that alone makes it a good or even decent station but so far I can't say I am happy with any station besides the one's on internet radio.
