| i'm sorry, i'll use "the team that i root for, [blank]" instead of we, to placate someone a few thousand miles away. for ALL teams i root for. |

| all i have to say is that i hope WE manage to beat united to the title, despite OUR recent losses to chelsea in the CL. i hope MY faith in MY team isn't misplaced and WE'LL be able to hold the cup aloft after the 38th game. |

You know you're trolling when you're Canadian and you're belittling someone else's culture. Have you guys decided yet whether your greatest cultural export is Nickelback or Due South? Tough decision, I know. |
Ouch , also " collect your tears in a glass and have a drink of bitter ". Nice work

I hope WE equal YOUR total titles held after the season is over. I will do everything I can to help MY team do this. My farts from the east coast of the US have some cosmic influence over MY team, I just know it! |

ian tries to like hockey, but picked the team with the best player. I will give him credit for following it in a place it is not easy to.

I have more than caps as teams I like to watch though, i'm not a hardcore fan but do enjoy watching the big O play. Sadly 2 of the other teams I enjoy have drawn each other in the playoffs, calgary & chicago which sucks a bit. It's easy to follow here, there's a reasonable following & we get plenty of live games, just at weird hours to some. I think it helped that I was already a 'hockey' fan as i played it at school and the ice version just adds some awesome bits. |

Hence why I said "few people" rather than "nobody". You're talking fractions of percentages of the population who follow American sports. Brazil played Italy at Wembley recently and not much of that crowd were English. |

Find me a Brit who gives a about American sports and your analogy might be more apt. |
It's a good idea to focus more on other aspects of english grammar than just "we" :) |

| In all seriousness, it's always a good idea to learn about the sporting culture. It doesn't make you less of a supporter/fan, but it'll enhance your experience as a spectator. |
