also, is he getting a return or paying? If its a return, its no biggie as the IRS is not in a hurry to write checks. |

| i believe its a return. when he finished up filing it, he said he is gonna be getting back about 700 bucks. i guess thats what it said on the website he was using when he finished up. |

oh well in that case he has nothing to worry about. He is not late as long as he is getting a return. Like I said the government is not in a hurry to write him a check. No fees. |

no problem..
since he likes waiting last minute....he can actually wait more..
If you are getting a refund you have 3 years to file. So he doesn't have to file his 2008 return until 2011. This is as long as he is supposed to get a return. |

| if your friend owes money to the government then being late might mean he has to pay interest on the amount he owes. in that case, a day late return will mean a few dollars if not cents. if your friend doesn't owe money then don't worry about it. |
