Its not the government's job to be our baby sitter....and thats all they are doing. I'm a grown up and can make my own decisions...whether they are dumb ones or not.

the law states .08. The law also says you can drink at 19. So either ban it for everyone or make the zero law for under 19.

We should go the european route. Zero alcohol tolerance for driving in exchange for no last call and the allowance of drinking in public. Fair compromise if you ask me. This would actually punish the offenders instead of everyone else.

Yeah yeah

But seriously, what's the big deal? This guy was ing SERIOUS BUSINESS about a taxi stopping for someone on the wrong side of the street. In fact, the taxicop actually shouted at another cab that managed to pick a passenger "I'LL GET YOU NEXT TIME!" wtf?

ive come to realize that EVERYTHING in Toronto is a big deal even when it shouldnt be. Just ask a business owner about the simple act of putting a sandwich board sign in front of their business for example.

Or how about the fiasco of simply allowing more variety in street food? Its so far taken 2 years to roll that out. Incredible!

I would agree if it were not for the massive cultural attitude differences towards drinking in Can and Eur. I realize the way to change that is through change, but it would be extremely difficult to roll out that change and wait for people to adapt responsibly.

And even then it's extremely limited.

Our governments are a joke.
