I think they've already done that to be honest. She was obviously the one who took her from school AND knows where the body was hidden. Any other police force would have charged her with the murder too. I think she's hasen't been charged with murder becasue she's agreed to help them locate the body and testify against her boyfriend.
It is odd that they haven't found the body yet though? |

I know that's how it works, and I'm inclined to agree with latter post. They probably dropped the murder charge and stuck her with accessory to murder instead.
But again, there is a lot of information that they haven't told us. I would've been pissed because what deal could they cut on someone who is charged with Accessory to Murder, and Abduction ... 6 months in jail, and community service? |

Yes, its been two days and they only have an 'idea' of where it is. They could be even looking in the wrong place as well. |

Niether the OPP or counsel for McClintic are talking about the connection between herself and Stafford's mother. Also, it's really quite odd that now this person originally only charged with Abduction and Accessory-after-the-fact is wheeling the OPP all over the Guelph area with nothing having turned up yet (that we've been informed of).
Also kind of strange how this has shifted to a murder investigation so suddenly with no body - This must mean they have some REALLY solid evidence or a confession. There's something really strange about this whole thing still. |

Whoops, missed that.. At any rate, I don't think there'll be a lot of public support for cutting a deal after monsters like Karla Homolka, especially this early in the investigation. |

Well, apparently there looking in the right place. Near a rock pile, under a big tree, and also in some dumpster. They looked there originally, and the girl even went with them there to look too so you would think they would find something?

Yeah, I agree totally, but they may of had to in order to find out the truth and especially where the body was. I still think she can get a pretty steep sentence though.
I hate not having all the detials too!!!!!!! |

Unfortunately, the accuseds have the right to remain silent. They don't have to say anything or help anybody. Statements and help from the lesser of the co-accused is often necessary to get the real or greater murderer. Often without their testimiony or assistance, the victims may never be found, and in some cases, the real killer would never be found.
So with her assistance, the family of the child will have some form of closure, have something to bury, and the boyfriend will be sent to jail for life because of more concrete evidence, as murder cases are much harder to convict when there is no body. This is a fact. It's unfortunate, but it's for the greater good. |

| Regarding rock piles.... Every farmer has one. This will be a challenge for the police. When farmers clear woods and land to grow a crop, the earth is full of stones and large rocks. Farm kids like myself combed the field and threw the stones on to a moving tractor. It was hard labour, but I digress... the stones are then dumped in a back corner of the lot or along the fence lines. There's a lot of rock piles for them to go in the region. |

Would you rather have 2 murder charges they can't prove, or 1 murder charge that's locked in with testimony from a complicit party?
2 murder charges with little evidence doesn't do any justice for anyone, wouldn't you agree? |

Can't prove yet.
This same bull happened when Homolka went to the CA looking for a plea bargain before anyone (investigators included) knew the full extent of her involvement. I don't know about anyone else, but this situation with McClintic REEKS of what happened with Bernardo / Homolka. I really hope that the Crown doesn't let this inhunman creature bargain her way into a deal just to find a body a few days early. I've spent a bit of time 'round Woodstock & area, I guarantee you not one of those white trash, inbred banjo-playing mother******s that we've seen in interviews has the good sense to clean behind their ears let alone hide a goddamned body, much less with half the province of ontario (and hundreds of its law enforcement personnel) looking for it.
It's tragic, but she's gone and not coming back alive. What drives me nuts is that I keep hearing "bring Tori home" / "can't stress the importance and significance of", etc etc.. These degenerate s killed her and left her to rot and it's not going to be a pretty sight when they *do* find her. There will be NO justice unless ALL those responsible for this little girl's death are brought to answer for their crime - For the Crown to act in any other manner is an outright perversion of the judicial system. |

I think that's a pretty big stretch, given how little information has been released about what happened. And I also don't think you can speak about the importance of finding your dead child's body until you actually go through it yourself. It's comical that people critque the parents' response, as you're doing, when they have absolutely no clue what it's like to be in their shoes. |

My mom just called me... The reporters came up to her, and her interview will be on the A-Channel News tonight. I have no idea what she'll say.
It really hits close to home, and Gad forbid Tori is found in my parents' woods. She shares the same sentiment as other residents of the area that everyone hopes she is found soon, just not in their back yards. |
