Thats another thing, I also rarely drink when I go out. I am drunk perhaps once or twice a year. At bars I drink water or pineapple juice.
I was out for almost 8 hours last night at a club, completely sober; my friends wondered how I do it and sometimes I wonder how I do it too... |
Is there a particular reason why you don't drink? It's fine and all, but I'm always curious about minorities :p |

I absolutely loathe the way alcohol tastes...I just think it tastes disgusting. I've never been able to drink anything that hasn't made me pull a face, despite the claims of "oh, you can't even taste the alcohol!"
Not to mention, I like to be sober to watch over my friends and make sure they don't do something completely retarded. I actually enjoy that more than the few times I am completely -faced with them.

Ideally, I would love to content myself with that, but I'm far too in love with soda's glorious carbonated burn, especially with meats.
Snapple just doesn't cut it when you're eating a steak. |
Haha, I actually really don't like Snapple; it tastes so fake. With steak I'd usually pair that with some mineral water or sweet tea. |

I didn't start until this year (24), and it doesn't seem like that big a deal to me.
Of course I also can't really afford to drink, timewise that is. I have no tolerance, and recovery times are too high.
I'm not sure why I'm on here again. When classes are out I can't wait for them to start again, then I choose all the hardest ones I can take. Then during the term I wonder why I didn't choose something easier. |

The times I have been drunk my metabolism takes care of that. I can be wobbly-legged, slurred-speech, seeing double drunk and it will take me about an hour or two to be completely sober again. I dunno why it is. It just seems like a waste for me to even attempt to get drunk with how fast my body processes it. |

I'm kinda in the same boat. My body has a problem with alcohol in that if I drink much I'm really ill. I also have taste issues so tend to stick to stuff like vodka + 7up or something, but I do love liqeuers and the occasional cocktail. Apart from that I spend about 48 weeks a year not drinking at all. Makes it way better when I do. |

So far the only thing I find that I can drink without cringing is champagne...and that is expensive. |

Oh same here, that is, physically I'll recover from one drink in about 30-40 minutes, but mentally it takes a while longer. When I can't do basic integrals without any ups...well, I don't drink much. |
