are you kidding me? Burlington is a great place to live. In terms of schools, property value, safety, sense of neighbourhood etc, getting a doctor/dentist, amenities etc. It has tonnes of parks and easy access to both Toronto and Hamilton. Great public transit too.
I am confused as to why Oakville didn't make the list, as Burlington and Oakville are almost identical |
+1
Burlington is quite nice. quite white. Lived there my whole child hood.
How the did Winterpeg make the top 10? |

| How they could factor in crime and place Kingston on the top 10 is absolutely beyond me |

I went to Nelson HS for my senior year. As far as I remember, out of 1300 students that year, there were 17 visible minority kids. But Nelson was the worst. very money, very waspy neighbourhood |

Def told wrong. Prices are through the roof in Vancouver (no pun intended) |

it might be the area, but a friend of mine lives + works there, when she told me how much they are paying for a 2-bedroom I couldn't believe my ears |

Yeah Vancity is disgustingly pricey.
Really not surprised that Toronto didn't make top 10. |

I went to Central High downtown, from grades 7 - 12. Same issue. Bairly any minorities, not as 'money' oriented of a school though. |

actually Toronto had highest AVERAGE rental rates for 1 bedroom, you will pay about $100 more in TO than in Vancouver, and Toronto was about $300 more than Montreal. Ouch. Now if we are talking about buying, Vancouver is in an astronomical class of its own

Vancouver's gang-related murders have spiked but the city usually has a lower crime rate than say Winnipeg or Regina. I think it's finally cooling off now.
Toronto is typically the best for work, Vancouver the best for outdoor leisure and sightseeing (by far) and Montreal the best for nightlife, imo. I wish I could live in all three simultaneously for those reasons, not Ottawa/Kabul :p
The rest of Canada is one big giant meh if you're currently not busy with pressing domestic committments like family/kids...
...or internet/tv :p;) |
