Data Recovery

Does anyone know of any good Data Recovery places in Toronto? My 1TB drive pretty much failed on me, and there are some valuable things on it that I need backed up onto another drive (would do it myself but the drive is inaccessible and doesn't allow other drives to function when it's connected to my motherboard.)

I don't want to spend a fortune :(

If it's totally toast you're going to spend a small fortune getting stuff back professionally.

That's the in' way she goes.

Does the drive at least spin even though you can't read it?

I second that. Data recovery is very expensive.

depending on what needs to be done to recovery your data, you'd be looking at at least $500 to recover... and it can go in to the thousands of dollars. how important is your porn to you?

Sorry to hear Cribby :(

Hope you get this worked out somehow...

Yep. It shows up in the bios, but I can't access it's data.

I just want my digital photos.. those are most valuable to me.

Thx, dl that bootdisk now. Sounds like Lisa had the exact same problem as me. Before I resort to Data Recovery, I'll give this a shot.

LONG LIVE DEL!!!!

Seriously Del...like you haven't done enough for me already! ;) You helped save my computer!

Cale downlaod that CD and ran it this weekend...he was able to recover my data!!

Unfortunatly it's too late for my projects. I still had to re-do the work I had done. But at least now I have copies of the projects I had done previously (always good to have copies). Not to mention all my pictures...thank god! That was gonna be a chore and a half trying to get back some of those (with a few I would have lost forever).

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!

Just out of curiousity, which utility did you/Cale use from the disk?
