I just want to say that this was an AMAZING night at CIRCUS, new LED lights installed next to the DJ booth look amazing, sound was much MUCH better IMO, and the crowd was going wild during Rank 1s set, and the true trance addicts stayed for TALLA 2 XLC's trance/hard trance set. AWESOME NIGHT!!! GOOD JOB EVERYONE!!! I haven't seen CIRCUS that packed and full of energy for a while, so definitely this was progress that needds to be kept up! Great to see some TA's there!!! :D
again awesome night, great sets by both Rank 1 and TALLA 2XLC, pics & vids to come tomorrow when I get caffeinated in the morning ;) Peace!

How exactly was the sound better?
I went to Vanguard on Saturday to see Kyau and Albert and all my friends (who had been going to Circus every weekend) said that the difference in sound quality was night and day. I agree.

A HUGE THANK-YOU to everyone who came out last night and made it a night to remember. :) The music, the crowd, the vibe and the SOUND were all awesome! Seeing everyone jumping around screaming at 4am made my night. :D

oh dude, the sound was SO MUCH BETTER LAST NIGHT @ CIRCUS!!!
I mean, how can I describe it without borrowing your ears, right?
I wasn't trying to start a comparison between V's sound and Circus...
What I can tell you is this, well let me break it down for you :
#1 - LOWER VOLUME and MUCH BETTER EQUALIZED, I noticed!
#2 - Sound-reactive LED lights next to DJ booth look sick! A+! (not sound-related I know, will post video soon)
#3 - Noticed not that many people covering their ears = good sign.
#4 - Was able to take off my earplugs for some time in the main room and not lose a little bit of hearing (like I did in DJ Tatanas night...)
#5 - (and possibly the biggest!) Sound output wasn't completely distorting the out of my digital camera's mic, which means sound is well eq'ed and volume is nice.
I guess I should've taken more & longer videos!!!!! Sorry guys, but I was too busy dancing! :)

My friend who was wearing ER20's at Vanguard left early when his ears started hurting, I saw another girl dancing with her fingers in her ears, and I went outside every hour for about 15 minutes hoping it would help, but left a little before 3 mainly because it was so loud. Maybe the sound was cleaner, but I think it was louder too.
There's a noise meter app for the iPhone that measures sound within 3 db (if first calibrated to another meter), but it maxes out at 105db, so it would probably always give the same reading at any club...here's the link in case anyone is interested though:
PVD's new DJ iPhone app (not yet available in US) also includes a noise meter, but not sure how good it is since I haven't seen any tests yet. Wish there was something very small I could use to measure sound from 105 to 130db to check whether it's safe to be inside a club with earplugs or not... :nervous:
So, I'm looking forward to being back at Circus again and experiencing the "new sound" myself! :) (but I already have a ticket for Ferry at VG next Saturday which I bought weeks ago)

Rank 1 warmed it up nicely for Talla2XLC.....Talla2XLC ended the party with me wanting more of that HARD TRANCE....Another job well done by Circus on bringing in 2 HUGE headliners in one night....
