ummm... before you ask such a dumb question atleast give me a reason as to why he isn't arrogant (which he totally fuking is)
and incase you don't know what the word means
ar·ro·gant
adj.
1. Having or displaying a sense of overbearing self-worth or self-importance.
2. Marked by or arising from a feeling or assumption of one's superiority toward others |
please explain how using his popularity to acquire wealth is arrogant. How is his self-worth inflated because someone is giving him money to use his likeness and profit from his popularity? How does having a video game show he has a feeling that he is superior to other people?
The connection just isn't there. A prime example of arrogance is Donald Trump. Armin is just a guy profiting off of his popularity, which is no different than a baseball player being paid to promote a product.
Do you think Derek Jeter is arrogant? I've heard he is far from arrogant. Jeter does far more self-promotion than Armin van Buuren. How about Roger Federer? He uses his popularity to promote various products. I've heard the man is the most genuine athlete. What about Tiger Woods? Another example of an athlete acquiring substantial wealth from his popularity. Again, I've heard the man is a real down-to-earth chill guy. |

hahahaha, that was a good one sir.
But back to the others... If I was Armin, I'd be milking the #1 DJ spot for all it's worth too. Why the hell not?
That's like Tiger Woods becoming the best golfer and saying, "ah it, no reason to get my name out there with all these offers, I'd rather be a nobody and make about 1% of what I know I COULD make."
If you could do what you love and get paid millions for it, wouldn't you do the same thing?
Maybe at a young age you think that "improving the scene" is what matters... but when you get older or if you're business-minded, you start to realize that securing your future is a bit more important. Armin's doing the right thing for himself, that's for sure... and obviously he's winning over new fans by doing what he's doing too.
Can't please em' all... |

hahaha, exactly.
I pretty much guarantee you that if someone put $500,000 - $1,000,000 in cash, directly in front of you, saying that if you put your name on this video game, it's yours, you would take the money. |

Here's an example that is slightly more analogous: shawn white does HP commericals, is he arrogant? Snowboarders who get too big are definitely called sell-outs by their peers. Nevertheless, i've never heard anyone call shawn white arrogant. He's definitely a sell out to many snowboarders, but most people like the kid. I've met the kid too, he's certainly not arrogant. |

woah now.. look who the cool ones are - defending their hero vs talking about someone they have never met on the internet.
haha. honestly though me - fat - and a bull dyke .. oh the best one - dj'ing in my room. Oh and young so you must think I have no "experience"! :hahahahahahahahaha:
I think you have the tables turned. Getting offended because someone talks about your fav dj. Give me a break. I swear - you guys are funny.
thanks for the laughs!

I haven't supported a party for Armin since the first time he played at club space (not during WMC) and that was Oct 2005 ;). If I went - it was free and I was bored. I spend my money for much better folks ;) |

armin could lick my balls, i don't give a about the man. you were just making a baseless claim that made little sense.
considering i don't insult people online by calling them names, i know that wasn't directly in reference to me, but you said, "guys," which leads me to believe my post was in mind when you drafted your post. As such, I felt the need to respond. anyway....lo siento, i'm not trying to start trouble, but your claim is pretty ridiculous. |
