thought you guys might like this . i'm gonna pick it up along with a guitar right away.
i'm still reading about it but i hope it works with reason 4
DeZmA
it works with reason 4 - no rewire needed, it's integrated if you own reason

it's getting released 9 september

I posted this on another forum as well, but in Dutch.

It's a bunch of missed opportunities in one package.
* No vsts for starters. Just a big miss, nothing more, nothing less.
* They market it as "the perfect simple tool designed for singers/songwriters instead of audio engineers". Yet the mixing desk shows thousands of knobs which get singers in a state of hypnosis before they can get anything done. It just doesn't line up. Why not introduce all those knobs in an effect and keep the channels simple with an on/off button.
* It's stupid you need to pay the full price for a product that should have been included in reason, which supposedly is a 'complete' sequencer but lacks audio tracks.

Of course I expect the product itself will be fine. But there's just to many things wrong about it.

Yeah, I agree - that's a big miss IMO as well.

Could of guessed this is what was coming from earlier this week. About time, the mixing console looks good, will be nice to have more control on the eq side of things. 9th sept sooo long away.....anyone gonna test the beta?

agreed, to be honest those guys at propellerhead could of done this years ago when audio is concerned. The VST side will prob not happen with reason.

If they incorporated audio and/or VST in earlier versions they'd have less money to make now lol. Next year will be some other add on which cost X amount, then in version 6 who know's VST support another £200 lol.....

beacuse VST is a peace of unstabile crap :D
i love this, if that mixer is good im gonna have a second thought about going Mac/Logic.
MrJiveBoJingles
Including VSTs makes absolutely no sense if Reason is going to continue having the "synth rack + wires" setup at its core. That would not work with VST.

Of course, they could always just throw that idea out and remake the program into something more like Ableton / Cubase / Logic, I guess. I think that would be a shame.

hell no this is why ive always come back to reason. beacuse it doesnt suck like those others. this is intuitive stuff right here. i didnt find about whether it has midi out or not though, i hope it has.

I don't plan on buying it, but I have to say that, in contrast to Storyteller, I actually like the look of its mixer. Everything is right there - EQ, compressor, gate/expander - all color-differentiated and neatly arranged with an SSL vibe. However, I really don't like white-ish-colored background - too hard on the eyes especially for those of us who tend to work in the dark. But, maybe you'll have the option to change it.
