The original Lego set and Techic sets were the best by far. I had 9 of the big green squares and I would build a kid-sized enclosure with a door and windows and I would camp out in there all afternoon when it was complted.
I kept my original Lego set seperate from the Technic sets because they were different styles. One day, my mom decided just to combine everything into one big box. When I saw this after school that day, I experienced my first long-held grudge. I didn't talk to my mother for 24 hours LOL!
I over 20,000 pieces (yes, I counted...damn OCD) and I would spend entire afternoons creating random buildings, cars, mazes, etc. I even made a car for my sister's pet rat with one of my Technic sets. That was a one-time thing since that little ****** shat all over the passenger compartment. |

That sounds awesome.
The Lego Technic sets were great, I built a submarine that had a little rover and motorized things! It had red lights on it! I was so proud when I finished it  |

Absolutely my favorite toy ever.
Like Myra, we used to build a gigantic cities complete with the road pieces. It would have a police station, fire dept, gas station, repair shop, sooooooo much stuff!
To this day, everytime I'm in a store with a toy dept, I have to check out the Lego section. |
that's what i did w/ the old school motorcity matchbox cars. |

oh man lego was awesome haha i miss it.
i used to have this like big plane lego set thing and like a set of lego emergency workers/vehicles. i would build the plane and then throw it on the floor so it broke into bits and then pretend it was a plane crash and have the the emergency workers come and save all the little lego men (some with body parts missing!) that were drowning in the lake it had crashed into. :stongue: |
