Yeah the guestlist lady is Anne, she's awesome! Get to know her, treat her well, she is the gatekeeper for all things :)
Overall I had a blast, thought Marcel ROCKED IT and was my fav of the night - just that kinda crazy techy trancey style I go for so you know I was diggin it! Simon and Eco were also both amazing as always. Great show all around! |

Love is my favorite club EVER. PERIOD.
Haha I didn't even realize that Eco was the opening DJ until I read this thread, he def rocked it. (P.S. Eco I can't believe you're such a hotshot and we're the same age [20!])
I was uber looking forward to this night since I'd finally be out of school for the semester and I love tech-trance and hard trance and I knew Simon Patterson and Marcel Woods would deliver!
Despite Friday night being the night from HELL. It was my last night in DC for a year and was supposed to be my going away night but (Some girl ended up with my purse and I didn't get it back til 10AM Sat without my phone, and she just realized on Sunday she had my phone :(), Despite this I was determined to make it up to NYC!
I got up to NYC, thanks to Bryan, I found a place to put my stuff before I got to Love.
I knew that this was going to be a great experience from the moment we were outside the club! I love that the club doesn't even have a sign with its name on it ;)
Ya it started raining when we got there, and the guestlist girl got us out of the rain, she was SO NICE :)
Got inside, said hi to peeps whom I had met at Armin! I was so happy I got to chill with Alyssa, Brian, and my friend Aleks all night.
It didn't start off stellarly as I threw up my dinner 5 minutes after I got into Love and then when I had soap on my hands I could not for the life of me figure out how to turn the water on in the woman's bathroom and had to just rub my hands on some paper towels, and didn't get it off until a friend helped me use the sink in the men's bathroom like 5 min later.
After this though, everything was awesome! Got to chill in the front room, found the chill room which just made me smile (there is no chill room like that awesome at any other club I've been to).
Danced my booty off! Simon rocked my world with tech-trance and Marcel with hard trance. My only complaint of the night was the ridiculous heat. There was a 15 degree temperature difference between the main room and the other rooms. So I had to leave periodically and miss their awesome sets :( And yes Bryan is right, I yanked him away from the main room a few times because I was afraid we were going to get sick from dehydration.
I loved the crowd and the vibe so much :D when i was taking a break in the front room, the DJ was playing Fatboy Slim - Star 69 and this random dude across from me & i were singing and he and I high fived cause we were having so much fun singing along to that song.
At the end of the night, I enjoyed the sea of people just chilling outside the club.
In response to Wai, speaking of speaking of foreign languages, the people I was with outside were extremely impressed when I started speaking in Japanese to this Eastern European guy outside of Love (I'm Mexican-American :P)
Then I went to another super chill afterparty at my friend Alek's place and had a really fun time when I went to pick up my stuff from Bryan's hotel and got a very warm welcome from him and his friends.
I give this night a 10/10 despite the vomitting, not having a cell phone, and the epic heat. :D |

omg... white shirt + pulling the knob too hard = major disaster
... I've seen it happen, this chicks whole shirt was drenched. I always lift it slowwwwwwly, but it would be nice if they had knobs and take that stupid sign off the middle stall in the ladies room!
We all KNOW that toilet works just fine so stop bsing us ;) |

um yeah between the ceiling dripping, the faucet going buck-wild, and drinks begin spilled on me, I was wet all night :( :(
doesnt help either that there are NO mirrors :( I am a WOMAN dammit, I wanna fix myself once in a while!! (especially in such a sauna!!) :( :( :( :( Can I please put on lip gloss without having to aim and possibly miss my entire mouth? hahaah! :haha: |
