I am really just frustrated that this artist keeps putting out so many tracks and flooding the market with the crap.
Marcie has been signed to Coldharbour Red (Some really solid releases), but has also somehow been signed to other smaller quality labels. Anjuna or Black Hole? Not that I know of. Megasparkles? Not heard of that.
I really dig Anjuna's releases. |

| Megasparkles is by far one of the best labels out there, you gotta check them out man. |

Are you serious??!! You think these songs/lyrics and vocals are good, or are you being sarcastic (I hope so). These are obviously tuned up, but the productions are horrid imo. I would rather chew on gravel too than listen to these. What do the rest of you think of these two Marcie "classics"?
In that horrible Radio Station tune, I just noticed some of the lyrics:
Radio station, all I got is you. Nothing I could lose?
Nighttime comes, and all I got is you.
Driving faster in my car, take a chance, it might go far with you.
Sounds like Marcie has fallen in love with her radio station!
Are you her press agent or good friend?

Those guys are from Hungary. Imagine if Armin were to blast SOMEWHERE OVER THE RAINBOW (Marcie version) at a 30,000 person venue. I would pay to see the reactions on his fan's faces! |

yes i'm serious, and i only meant the singing, melody and such. i do think the whole production in the beetseekers remix is great (even though the vocals could be a bit louder)
i don't really pay much attention to edm lyrics cause most of them are quite meaningless anyway, if it sounds good it sounds good..
but those are the marcie tracks i really enjoy, and i can tell you that i really hate some of her vocals (most of the electro house tracks). mostly i prefer instrumentals and dub versions from vocal mixes anyway, but if the melody in the vocals is really great (like in these tracks) i go for the vocal mix. |

So you would actually buy those? Remember FIND by Ridgewalkers? That was an amazing track I thought. The vocal has amazing passion and beauty, and the supporting melody is great.
IMO, both of the examples of her best tracks are terrible. What I do like about both of them is I feel relieved after I stop listening to them.
What other artists do you like? I see we have totally different taste in music. :)

well i wouldn't buy the motiva remix, but the vocals are still great in it. i would however buy the beetseekers remix if it was up to sale and i wouldn't have gotten it as a promo (it's an unreleased bootleg).
liberation is also unreleased, and about 5 years old. i used to like it a lot, nowadays it sounds a bit dated, but the vocals are still quality for me. a 130bpm slower (prog) trance version of it would rock
i love "find", here's couple of other vocal tracks i love:
older:
ascension - someone
andain - beautiful things
bt - mercury and solace
brother brown - under the water
chakra - i am
delerium - innocente
human movement - love has come again
lange - i believe
lange - follow me
lustral - everytime
lustral - solace
paul oakenfold - southern sun
rachael starr - 'till there was you
reflekt - need to feel loved
second skin - runaway
sun decade - follow you
solar stone - speak in sympathy
way out west - the fall
warrior - warrior
way out west - intensify
newer:
antix - hiding place
andy moor - fake awake
andy moor - halcyon
andy moor - so much more
boom jinx - eternal reminiscence
cerf, mitiska & jaren - light the skies
cerf, mitiska & jaren - me and you
chris lake - carry me away
interstate - i found you
jonas steur - fall to pieces
karen overton - your loving arms
falkon & nebula - so lost
luminary - amsterdam (i'm not that big of a fan of this kinda last breath artsy singing though, but this one is great)
team sr - leaving london
thrillseekers - by your side
tiesto - everything (yes you heard me tiesto and the bt ripoff song)
male vocals:
gareth emery - more than anything (dj observer & dan heatcliff vocal mix)
nic chagall - what you need
markus schulz and departure with g&d - without you near
+ rock bootlegs, expecially brothers in rhythm remixed
and probably a lot others that i forgot now. most of them are kinda popish though, but if there's vocals in tracks i want them to be catchy and not just nonesense. |

I do think that Marcie got a very good voice, is just the tracks that she picks or are offered to her man.. most of them are so soulless.
She's got to start being more selective.
I personally like foreign vocals in Trance tracks, like for example:
C-Rouge - Dle Yaman
Hemstock & Jennings ft Adam White - Reverence
C-Rouge - Child from Heaven |
