oi the fade mix is really quite good, use it in sets a lot, cos it fits the vocals very well, but the tiesto mix is extra special :) |

course tiesto would of done, delerium have been around for donkeys yers. matt darey did the heavens earth remixes and as long as tiesto got paid enough there woul d be no reason why not. he's remixed some of the tiest bands/acts around, as long as theres something to work with.. he'll do it. christ almight, the average remix fee is going up and up. from what ive gathered tiesto charges around £15,000 a remix these days, and considering deleriums success and popularity hes bound to do it since its publicity for him. hell, i bought all mixes of silence before i even heard tiesto's mix. at first i ddint liek it, but then it grew on me and it got me into tiesto. christ almight, why do u think armin remixed madison avenue, wamdue project etc?!?! just a bunch of ty dance music, but it gets them cash and gets their name out there.
cut a long story short, the fade mix had no infulence on wether tiesto was to do a remix or not, sane goes for airscape. |

yeah.. really cute isn't it?
For me Fade Mix is No.1 cause I fell in love with this track before Tiesto Mix came out and it is plain, simple an powerfull!
But I don't think its good to compare them. Both have their places in good Sets but you can't easily exchange them. :p |

Delerium - Silence
For me my fav remix is the original Fade Sanctuary Remix, it brings out Sarah's vocals a treat, very moving and very emotional.
The airscape remix and the tiesto remix was mainly used to get the track more airplay.
This is common with a lot of tracks, the remixes are used to get the track more plays and therefore more sales.
for example, with the new Conjure One track, there is a Ian Van Dahl remix of it simply cos of its commercial value.
I loved it when sasha and digweed used silence in Northen Exposure 1, this got one of the most beautiful female vocal tracks ever great exposure.
Tiesto is on the same label as Delerium in the USA / Canada as is Sarah hence why he was one of the 1st to get his hands on it to remix it

| nettwerk didnt aproach tiesto, delerium asked tiesto to do it regardless of the pair of them being on the label. he thought it was a good track and that he could do somethign with it (as proven) so of course he said yes :) also liked his mix of innocente, but the MR SAM one sounds the best to me. note: i like the airscape mix as the radio edit, but not the full one, it drags out. |

"My" Silence history :
I buy a compilation called "Plastic Compilation Vol.2"
And i heard the Fade's mix.
And i say "I LOVE THIS TRAAAAAAAAAAACK!!!!" instantly.
A month later i buy the Delerium's album "Karma".
Finally i buy all the Delerium albums and the live album of Sarah McLachlan!!!
A year after the Fade's mix i heard the Tiesto Remix.
And i say "I LOVE THIS REEEEEMIXXXXXX!!!!" instantly.
Finally i buy a lot of Tiesto works!!!
"Silence" maybe is "MY" greatest song ever. |

| I'm another one who doesn't like the tiesto mix of silence that much.. ok it's good, it's an anthem but not THE anthem as most of you people say. I was disappointed when I heard it for the first time. |
