He was done at 4. We where going to leave at 5 to get an hour of robbie... but he played these deep dark dirty dirty tracks that actually had flow. When the sun came up he changed it up a bit playing perfect tracks!!!! I have a new respect for Robbie. He Killed it!!!

Rivera is one of a handful of Dj's that NEVER disappoints...

So was Vegas.

I mean for being Memorial and all. It was no where near as packed as it was last year.

Do did you end up going to Tabu Monday night? And that is/was Vegas's busiest weekends. New Years probably has more people, but not quality people like Memorial weekend.

Dude that was a total typo on wanttickets behalf. I saw this:

http://www.wantickets.com/EventDeta...ab_Ultra_Lounge

And i was ready to go check it out since i missed out at the Wet Republic party earlier that day.

We went and realized once we were there that "Dj Vice" was going to be spinning that night. So we left ate took a nap and then went to see Lee Kalt at the Obsession Penthouse after hours place. We got there around 2am and it was dead, but next thing you know it was 4am and the place was PACKED!

Michelle pretty much summed it up but:

Jordon Stevens - Perfect pool party music! He nailed it.

DJ Aoki - Awful. Honestly think I would have rather heard hip hop.

Swedish Egil - Almost as bad but probably because he followed Aoki. Have to give it to him for still rocking out!

Carl Cox - Started out meh so we went into Rain. Came back later and it was way to deep. Not what I was expecting from him but then again I haven't seen him in years.

PVD - Wtf? Last 4 times I have seen him have been rubbish. I'm done with him.

Robbie Rivera - Was definitely a surprise for me. Was just going to stick around for a little bit but he grabbed us and we stayed until the end. Not a huge househead but he was playing the dirtiest, sickest music! Then when the sunrise began to come thru the windows at Rain, he switched it up perfectly.

Regardless, I had an great time hanging out with my girl and amazing old and new friends. Found the vibe to be very positive which surprised me a bit. Wish we could have made Oakenfold which I heard was pretty good.

And a HUGE thank you to everyone who helped us out!!!

fri night - karma in rio - with jordan stevens, jes, george acosta - fun party - chill mixed crowd - great to meet jordan!

sat night - woke up late and didnt make it out to any edm events- ended up at red rock hotel, drunk, gambled, enuf said.

sun day - love fest pool party - didnt get there till about 4.30ish, only saw mark farina, he was pumpin some fun toones, the place was packed tho (side note, i like the pool party at tao beach better, i like places with)

sun night - woke up late again - went to lovefest at rain - got to party around 3 or 4am - missed carl cox - but pvd was on. the place was really packed but pvd's set was horrible. i mean, he would place a track, then put on another track, no mixing, tracks were all over the place (sealed the deal: his sets has become progressivly worse past couple of times i have seen him, no need to see him ever again) - robbie was great, fun toons.

overall, i am really glad to see vegas puttin on a fun edm weekend. Also, with the success of oakenfold's weekly party at rain, i hope to see more and more edm events in vegas.

jordan stevens is a great guy and was fun to meet him! mucho props!

Damn so much PVD hate was he really that bad......?

Did anybody notice the sound was kinda off at Rain during PVD? It was severely lacking in bass as though the bassbins were disconnected. Even with proper sound i don't think i would have enjoyed pvd's set. He played a few good tracks but didn't have any flow and was too focused on his laptop. I did have great time with Carl Cox by the pool. wish i stayed there the whole time.

I saw him at ETD Pop the night before and he ing DESTROYED it! People expect him to play "trance" and are disappointed when he doesn't deliver what they want. I personally like his recent style and find it to be better party music. More energy, more fun, less fluff. If you can't appreciate his mixing then too bad I guess...... Btw he played some SICK remixes, stuff that I never expected to hear.

yes, pvd's set was that bad.

its not that he didnt play a trance set, or whatever genre set...its the flow of the set that matters. there was no flow. no mixing, or at least, it didnt sound like he was trying to mix.

regardless, i had fun and am happy whenever i get to be in a large edm club, so i had a good time.
