GOOD NEWS!!! I just got back from my Dr. He said my ears are fine. Nothing wrong, no raptured ear drums, nothing! He prescribed me Claritin to clear the stuffiness.

Now, that was a wake up call. Ear plugs are a must now!

:)

what was the explanation for the bleeding? a broken scab or something?

Woody's girl was probably sticking her tongue in his ear while she was probably having something with red chili or catsup. :tongue3

Before you go out and spend $200 on custom earplugs give these a try Sonic Defenders. These were originally designed for shooting, but one day I decided to try them while I was DJ'ing and they work great! They fit very snug to your ear and are very soft so you will hardly notice you are wearing them. They are comparable to custom plugs IMO.

Here is a quick rundown of the features

Features

* 16dB Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) for EP3 Sonic Defenders with stoppers in
* 19dB Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) for EP4 Sonic Defenders Plus with stoppers in
* Lowers potentially dangerous noise levels above 80dB
* Hear safe sound levels as if you weren't wearing ear plugs
* Ergonomic design and multi-flanged stem conforms to ear shape for comfort and earpiece retention (EP3's double-flanged; EP4 triple-flanged for larger ear canals)
* Made from soft, hypoallergenic, medical-grade polymer
* Low profile design allows you to keep them in place while wearing a mask, helmet, hat, or while using phone, headphones or supplemental hearing muffs

Here are some pictures

+1 on this. I have a pair of the EP3's and a pair of the EP4's. I also have custom fit musician earplugs that I use that I paid a lot more for and these honestly do almost as good a job for a fraction of the price.

I just ordered a pair of the EP4's for my wife and myself. We'll see how they work. For $14/pair, it's worth a try.

I ordered a pair as well (EP3's though). Looks like they should arrive today. I should have a chance to test them out this Saturday.
