New track from Sonic_c - [Progressive, Techy, Plucky melody] Anyone??

Im goin for the prog/techy sound here been a nightmare mixing but i think i got it. If you hear room for improvement let me know as I want to send this to a label that could be interested in me (fingers crossed). Thanks guys much appreciated |

hey man im definitely diggin that bassline i think the progression and arrangement could you some work but i like where its going so far.
i like this style. a progressive/tech side with trancey break is the style im trying to create myself. i think we should work together sometime because it seems we are aiming for the same purpose.

| not bad but melody seems a bit random. sounds a little boring, not enough variation. could be because of the style though (and my preference). |

Its my first go at this actually the whole techy trancey break thing. I bought a cd eddie haliwell cream ibiza and its full of it and i loved it so glad i at least got close. I did however pay a lot of attention to the arrangement which is odd but glad you liked some of it :)

Appreciate the comments but the melody is definatley not random it was hours of painstakingly choosing intervals and considering cadences i really thought about it. The style of the melody is in the style of some trance I have been digging recently some of those tracks just rely on a 1-2 bar hook as a melody almost and entertain you by changing percussion, timbre, groove etc which is what I attempted to do here. Adding a ride, or a filter sweep, bassline is different for half the song, playing with release envelope etc. Thanks all the same and someone else pointed out that I could have thickened the texture with a pad or something over the melody but I neglected to as I wanted to emphasise the harmony I went for in melody so it clearly has some issues with the entertainment side. |

| Thanks man, glad you like it I'm really trying to get it signed been pushing it out to some labels waiting on a response I'll let you know if i do manage it. |

| Yeah i used a microkorg for the twisty intro sweep and one of the plucks rest is softsynths though. I put a HP filter on the finished mixdown to do the Dj type filter sweeps. Thanks for listening glad you enjoyed got knocked back by a couple of labels so was a little disheartened. I do believe in this one though lots of people saying its nice so fingers crossed there's a label out there that sign it. I was even thinking of signing it myself and resurecting my old house label changing to trance but I dont know yet. Thanks again |

i like this genre so i gave it a listen. not bad for a first try for sure. Not sure if its professional overall but i think you should keep going with this style. nice bass notes when it runs, but i found the idle bass a little boring. cool structure. The intro effect is coool. now im on the fence about that fx you used a lot, the sweep. not sure if im annoyed by it or not, but im one to talk i come up with some annoying vocoded stuff all the time. I ilke the lead/melody. Hope you can listen to one of my songs i will post in the future as well. can i ask which labels you tried? good luck with the signing since you really want to. |

| Good to have an experienced ear on this maybe I did overuse the filter sweep I do like it though it my new toy :) . I tried Bonzai, CGI, and Blackhole, oh and olympic from on here. CGI and Blackhole said no waiting on the others. I was hoping someone wouldnt say the unprofesional thing I've learned a lot recently and I was hoping that it was coming through :( . Still appreciate the feeds though thanks for listening |
