No they haven't because like I said, BIGGEST =! BEST.

But this IS going to be one of the biggest tracks of the year in the realm of making people dance and feel good.

Our collective standards have not hit anything because obviously our perspectives on what constitutes good music are entirely different.

We need more detroit in our diet? Omar might still be making good music but he has yet to make anything that makes girls scream like this.

Definitely not man. What's so special about it? That synth is quaint and all, but there is nothing to it. There is no melody of even a bar's length. Really? A recent jimpster remix has more "soul" than this. I really like the vocals, and I like how the original is put together. A lot at that. But honestly?

Aphrika track of the year so far for me. THAT has soul.

Funny, actually, 'cuz I'm half way through your Splash set as I type and I can think of half a dozen tracks in here that have more "soul" and are more "fun" than this.

When you actually get to go to fun parties where people dance all day you might get it. And I don't mean that in a dick way man. But you don't have that perspective. You're thinking about things in terms of www.internet.com and not in terms of www.reality.com

Play Aphrika in that youtube video and what happens? Great reaction probably.

No wet pussies.

We're not talking about ing track of the year, we're talking about BIGGEST track aka what people are going to beat to death as elfreak said because it's the best and easiest ing thing to play and make the floor go nuts.

Dude, that's fine and all if that's what encapsulated good music to you, but I don't think it's fair for you to whip out lines such as "If you don't get it then I can't ing help you" in association to it.

To some of us there's more to music than girls going crazy to it. Also taking into account that girls usually have taste in music anyway. Sorry, but it's really hard to "see" the logic. =/

You're assuming a lot of things by this post. I get on a bus and then a dirty subway to go to Sunday Best almost religiously every weekend. People there dance. And when I say dance I mean they DANCE. People go crazyer there to Quincy Jones than stuff like this.

It's fine if we have different opinions. This is not to instigate or anything, but it's really hard for me to grasp that fact that you think this is so HUGE only because girls take their panties of to it and that dancefloor gets packed.

clovis please let us know how when a song is played, you are immediately aware of the vaginal status of all the women in the crowd? Plus how do you juggle the labial humiditorial status knowing with extreme trainspotting from the dimly lit back corner?
notelfreak
and i am willing to bet that you do not understand the point of being a dj.

it isn't to be underground, to be deeper than a ditch, to convey a million feelings of plur..all this can be done as well, but at the end of the ing day your job is to make people buy booze and dance. The quicker you realize this, the quicker you might one day have a shot at making a dime doing something you like. I am sick of this track already, but it does this job.

a club owner does not give a about soul, unless it makes bitches drunk and guys spend money.

this is what i think clovis is trying to say, you are listening but are not hearing.

Theres a lot more to me than girls going crazy to music too.

But I know girls with fantastic taste in music and this song drives them wild. More than it drives me wild. It makes them feel good, it makes them feel HOT. That vocal hits at the perfect moments in the visionquest mix. Listen to the whole song through, the structuring is purely dancefloor minded. It settles down in the middle to let those amazing vocal bits shine.

What. Else. Do. You. Need. ?

I am not trying to argue that this is the greatest song in the history of the universe. But I think all the points I've made here stand true in reality.

This track is going to get beat to death more than Grindhouse. At least it's actually good... :p

I really like the visionquest remix but I would say that in a general constituent, Pitbull or Flo Rida would make more pussies wet than this. :(

Because they tell me about it. As for the second part of the question, I think you're confusing me with yourself.

You usually make good points and all, but this is about as relevant as Kismet.

And that's really sad if this is how you see music. Adam once said something that I've been thinking about ever since. Something along the lines of, "music does not need to be dumbed down in order to be dancefloor stimulating."

But thats NOT just why I think it's huge, it does those things because of what it is and how it was executed.

Sunday Best is a party I'd like to go to ASAP, but it is far more deep oriented than this stuff.

Music also does not need to re-invent the wheel to be dance floor stimulating.

I don't think there is anything dumbed down about this track.
notelfreak
that is not how i feel about music, but to be a versatile dj that wants to get paid and make a living off of it you need a few tracks like this.

i love adam's stuff and do not mean this in a disrespectful way, but he hasn't quit his day job.;)

the day i worry about someone who can't even buy a beer or get into a club opinions about the relevance of my opinions and becomes an authority on dance floor dynamics without having been on one that did not double as a basketball court, is the day where i will start listening to gabber, shave my legs and stick a pineapple up my ass.

guess what every dj plays a track or 2 the audience can relate to and knows.;)
