Anthem may have been a big word. And notice that the word anthem was followed by a question mark? like this? I was asking if people thought it'd be worthy of being considered as such. I didn't come out and proclaim "OMG BIGGEST SONG OF THE YEAR!!11".

LOL, same thing with "Loveshine", the one that samples Black Box - Ride On Time. I was listening to the Pure.fm stream the day our show aired and it played 3 times during the day. Every ing DJ and their mother is playing that since it got released. |

Definitely not man. What's so special about it? That synth is quaint and all, but there is nothing to it. There is no melody of even a bar's length. Really? A recent jimpster remix has more "soul" than this. I really like the vocals, and I like how the original is put together. A lot at that. But honestly?
Aphrika track of the year so far for me. THAT has soul.
Funny, actually, 'cuz I'm half way through your Splash set as I type and I can think of half a dozen tracks in here that have more "soul" and are more "fun" than this. |
