Jersey Nightlife

Scoops
NJ has definitely pushed itself to try and bring NY to its clubs but it will never be anything close. Crowd is too mixed and for the most part, very commercial. Very few club owners let the DJ do his thing and it doesn’t give the crowd a chance to venture into liking different kinds of music.

So NJ will always be NJ

sad but true....

as a passionate club goer for many years, i wish for for alot things to happen to the state of affiars regarding NJ Nightlife. some clubs are making great strides while others just sit back and do nothing are happy with the same bull.
TRNG
like you said man, jersey will always be jersey

ty commercial dance tunes where everyone wants to fist pump and call it techno

wish there was a hot spot in jersey - if you know venues that let dj's do their own i'll come destroy the dancefloor myself.

agreed dude, unfortunately
i get asked to play "a little bit more commercial" (which means alot, because they'll come back 20 min later if you dont do alot) damn near all the time. really sucks.

was there a particular night/place that made you post it or you just generally thought about it?
DJ_Lord

Whats up with everyone talking down NJ Parties, theres a few good ones here and there, lol. Ill admit it tho, I havent been to an NJ Club in what seems forever, until this weekend. Went to a very small one in North Bergen/West New York, Bouncers were a joke (with suits, wtf?) and very pop/reggaeton driven. More like a bar imo that had regulars. Ill stick with NY for now.
