in all fairness this thing kind of came out of left field. we have been setting up a retail business for the past 5 months, applying for 7698394894 different permits and numbers and such and the first i heard about this was reading about it in Metro on the subway on the way to the store this morning....

so it looks like we get no alternative - I'm supposed to go clothes shopping with a groccery bag, because the stores are not offering recyclable paper bag alternatives

ing great!
elFreak
paper shopping mall bags are still available for about a dollar in every mall that i have been to, so unless the clothes shopping you are referring to is going on at the salvation army, chances are you can afford it.

i don't really like this law, but it is only a big deal if you can't afford the nickel really.

I'm not talking about mall stores, duh!

if you know you are going shopping, is it really that hard to bring a bag?

ffs most womens purses today look big enough to fit a moutain bike into.

1.get bag
2.leave in trunk of car
3.profit.

i mean come on lol.

srsly man, you're getting on my nerves
who said I have a car? that's one
two - do you know a girl that goes shopping knowing that she will buy something for sure? I popped into Winners on my lunch, and I don't have bags freely laying around at my desk
I mean if Winners at least gave boxes for their shoes, or wrapped clothes in tisue paper like GAP does - I'd carry it to my office like that and deal with the shortage of a bag later - they offer NO alternative!
and my purse is still a normal size, thanks very much! it fits a wallet and my glasses :p

thank god for stores like H&M which switched their plastic bags to paper - what ALL normal stores should do!
elFreak
ahh so you are too poor to afford the 5 cents then, carry on.
