I'm pretty sure I was on that access road right beside the runway before, when me and my friend were trying to watch some planes land, but we realized we probably weren't really allowed to be there (every car that went by had someone wearing an orange vest in it lol), so we turned around. Am I wrong?

first class on points? Either you had connections or it must've taken helluva long time to collect them :D
I wonder if there are any incentives flying economy in this new plane or the new 787s? or are the benefits only for the $10,000 business class seats? I recall the economy class seats on Jumbo jets were similar to economy seats on domestic planes, extremely uncomfortable for long-haul, 14hr non-stop flights
Let's just say that my father lived in Calgary, and worked in Regina. He would fly round trip at least once a week.
He did this for two years.
I've only been plainspotting once, by accident lol..but I was at the Wendy's by the convention centre thing, and there was a plane route that flew directly over head. It was actually pretty cool.

When I flew Lufthansa economy on a 747 home from Munich, it was damned comfortable. I slept the whole way; the head supports practically molded entirely around my face and kept it quiet ;)

apparently outside of the landing strip bar is a good spot, but I've honestly never been so I can't comment.
The wendy's parking lot on airport road, and if my memory serves me correctly the intersection is airport/orbital. There are picnic tables there and grass you can lie down on.
Alternatively, you can cross airport road and lie down on the grass there, they'll be closer to you in that spot.
I think that's the best spot, you'll get some of the bigger planes there since #23 is the longest runway.
A little bit north of Midway road is the other end of #23 so you should see some big ones coming in from there too. I never go there though, Tara and I have the perfect spot at #23.
hope that helps

nope. you're right.
You can access that road from britannia if I remember correctly.
You're not suppose to be there. But it's also another great spot.
I'll mark the best spots on google maps later if anyone wants me to.
