E.D.M. clubs in Connecticut

| With the exception of room 960 in Hartford. And select nights at elevate when they actually book a good dj, is there anywhere else in Connecticut that I could hear some good dance music?? |

| Nope, your out of luck. Ask me how i know..... Take the metro to NYC. Clubs in CT are pretty ty...they stop serving alcohol way too early and they close down the clubs too early. |

That's often the case Connecticut is lame, they used to have a jungle night @ a club in New Haven, then told the d&b guys no more they'd rather have a classic rock and top 40s night. Because I guess we don't have enough of that in Ct. :mad: |

There is acutally a Bungalow Party in Stamford, Ct which i mistakenly stumbled into one random Wednesday night. The music was suprisingly decent, some tech house.
They run their parties every Wed-Sunday. |

hahah yeah...theres not too much in ct. rrom 960 is decent and Randy is trying to get there at least once a month....other than that- even elevate is meh....all house...it drives me nuts sometimes- i love everyone there, but i can only handle so much madonna. hahaha
nyc is worth the trip. depending on where you are in ct ny really isnt that far. |

| I just moved to CT and saw a club called Grand in Stamford has DJs. I haven't been yet myself, but will check it out. Anyone been there? So far, CT sucks and I hate this place. |

from what i know its very small. as are all clubs in ct.
Yes, as far as the night scene goes CT sucks. But youre right near the city (im reallllly getting tired of people bitching and moaning about this . unless youre in like some far away land in ct that i dont know of)
I travel to and from the city on a REGULAR basis. as anyone here can tell you. save your money. be smart, and just do it. Youll have fun and thank me.
and stop. stop looking for a scene in ct. its just NOT going to happen. Drinking, and a lot of it. Yes....WEVE GOT THAT. Beaches, shopping and really cute places to go on day trips. WEVE GOT THAT. CT is CT, may as well complain that it snows in the winter, it just is what it is. At least we're not in Maine!!!! |

...oh and in addtion- until you start telling these clubs what you want, they will not provide. Ive worked with Elevate, and 960 as well as some SoNo clubs for a while now. And when people CAME OUT we had NO PROBLEM getting DJs in and great EDM nights, but honestly, the crowd is dwindling in number and we cant just throw parties for 5-6 TA-ers who want trance....I know, it sucks....id love to have trance fridays back too, but it just isnt in the books until EVERYONE speaks up :)
and when that happens I promise to PERSONALLY take hand in helping as MUCH as I possibly can :whip: :whip: :whip: |

i got some friends in heartford who would go to an edm night and love it. tell me when the next show is and ill make sure they go. that will bring the grand totatl of 5-6 to at least 10 lol |

I totally forgot about Grand, I haven't been there in a while but from what I remember its pretty good. They play more of those big E.D.M. tracks I.e. Stuff from Fedde Le Grand, Eric Prydz Funkagenda and Mark Knight ect. But its a cool place to just chill grab a drink and hear a beat. |

as of right now, we have no june dates- we have a HUGE HUGE gig at 960 on July 18th- operation give life. there will be tons of advertising everywhere including here...so we will keep you posted :) |

its more like an upscale bar, good looking people though...
I live in stamford now but am thankfully moving to the UES at the end of the month...goodbye 6am train rides with mexican landscapers |
