Hearing Science, plus a clinical doctorate in audiology. Yeah, I'm going to be here for a loooong time, hehe. But my program lets me do what I enjoy, and Purdue ROCKS. I love the fact that it's a first-rate engineering school- the bioengineering department collaborates with my department a lot and we do some really solid neuroscience/engineering research. I would choke myself if my department's specialty were something like child language development :rolleyes: What area of research are you interested in?
Btw, isn't there a music festival coming up in Milwaukee in July? I know Skoozbot is playing there... don't know who else. |

Thats super amazing man. My buddy is trying get into phd at Purdue, Madison or ann arbor in Bio-medical engineering. He had done some ground breaking research in eco-toxicology.
That's some solid areas of research that you're working on. I am hoping around 4-5 years to finish up since I am not doing a masters and going straight from undergrad. My area of research in Materials Science specifically liquation cracking in high temperature service. I will be working with a major oil company and possibly spending some time around 2nd year at Oak Ridge National Laboraotry to do some research there on nickel alloys.
Yeah purdue is super awesome. I would be there if they had a stronger metallurgical department. It was between georgia tech and madison basically for me.
The Summer Music Festival in milwaukee should be there soon. Richie Hawtin will be there. |

didn't read the thread but
milwaukee has a small scene with decent acts that come in every couple months, but your best bet is makin the drive down to chicago. madison's scene is pretty non-existent |

| I wonder if the fraternity guys at my place will let me throw any parties. We are right on the lake. I might try and bring my decks with me and set up shop on the lake sometimes and drop some beats with some bbq or something. We should all organise something like that. Are there any lake beaches? |

Madison is surrounded by 4 lakes, so there are plenty of beaches....not sure about partying at them tho...... |
