lol. riiiight.. personally i think chicago cant compare to the likes of Guv or Toronto for that matter. There is too much variety there. Here its either Trance(Vision) or top 40 clubs with the exception of Spybar which usually brings in the better House DJ's.

but there's so many clubs in chicago that you can get by pretty good.

in Mil-town, its all top 40 or worse, country minus 1 or 2 places.

a few places you could check out tho, Cardinal, Inferno.....networking is the key....Alekos would probably know better, since most of my partying is done away from Madison.....

How has Madison been treating you these past few months? Were you able to find anything electronic in this town worthwhile at all? Have you hosted any parties, yet? ^_^

The only worthwhile event I've been to in Madison was when Richard Devine was here in June 2006. I'm sure there has been something since then, but I never know where to look.

Like the other suggestions, I end up traveling to Minneapolis, Milwaukee or Chicago when someone of interest tours through or visits the Midwest. October and November have a ton of great upcoming events, too. Digweed was down there last night ^_^

hey!

i'm a grad student at the UW as well :D we should meet up sometime! i'm into the same kinda music you're into as well. judging from your first post, you must live over on Langdon hehe.

Plan B over on Willy Street is the new place that opened up-- great space but obviously we're not gonna have Danny Howells performing there or something. however, it's a nice place to go dance depending on what night it is and what party is going on. planbmadison.com they also might be looking for DJs! :D i would totally help promote a party there with some serious EDM if it got to that point in the future :)

i also go down to chicago (was just there to see telefon tel aviv last night!!!! :D ) so we can definitely hit up some shows together. i think i'm gonna be there again on oct 30th for sasha & hernan.
