Probably, and yeh, not disputing that that's the proper term. Just some melodeath is a bit on the light side. I dunno, do quite like swallow the sun though, guess it's personal preference really.

As far as Nightrage goes, I need to do a little more listening. However Swallow The Sun is definitly more underground, good, and a better band for sure.

Edit: Mathcore is awful genre of metal. Converge and Ion Dissonance are only good bands of the genre.
