Neat video showing some famous names hanging out in their studios and making beats in 1994. This is back when a 66 MHz computer went for around $5000, and people used floppy disks to load songs. Cool gear collections of course, and the clothes are classic as well:

Technology has changed so therefore expectations change to match.

I'm all for innovation I love the fact I can use up to speed software on my pc at will.

But when time is lost worrying about things like 'is my kick loud enough, bass fat enough ect.'
To me is time that shoud be spent on making good tunes.

but yes you're of course right expectations are high and need to be met.
I just feal its for the wrong reasons.

Thank goodness for technological advancement. Making music like that must have sucked balls.

Looks like early Logic. (notator)

I love this. Was there really samplepacks in 1994?

Yes. A lot of people ripped their own samples from existing music though. I started music production in '95 on a 40mhz pc. Google `Scream Tracker 3`. Now those where the days. At that time I was the only one in the neighbourhood with a 16bit soundcard :o.

And I still work virtually identical to this :D
