thanks for the kind words but far from a pro track. i didn't use that many elements and still there were some clutter problems. i tried everything i know to do. Also some timing problems with the flutey like pad that I just couldn't seem to figure out. Pissed me off royally. Again, tried everything I know to do. just part of the growing process i suppose. |

i actually have a collection of personally made kicks. usually 2-3 samples that I just cut parts of and combine them. When the track is done I rotate multiple kicks until I find one that I think sounds good and tweak it a bit if I have to. Then i rotate random kicks through my muted kick track that all the basses are side chained to until I like what I hear. Seems to work ok |

that is a good method very pro like. i haven't done combing in awhile, must go back give it a retry, I've been using airwaves kick tutorial |

| It sounds pretty nice, has a good atmosphere... too bad your source samples werent any good. |

| Beefed them up as much as I could. It puzzles me because when you listen to the original mix, it sounds so much better (like 100x times better) than the source files |

It isn't so much as how well they sound solo, but how well they sound all together. A track isn't made by combining about as many massive sounds you can find... sometimes its more of getting a few mediocre sounds to work and sound good together. |

If its the TX - Somersault remix, its pretty good.
The overall engineering quality isn't that great, but that's more about practise than anything else. Its definately as good as most other releases out there, but not at the top.
Thats really the only weakness I can see, the sound programming and arrangement and structure are all really good. The way you build the energy is especially cool;) |
