you could do something for a good cause. Join Habitat For Humanity. I'm thinking of rejoining the group.

whenever i get sad, i've always thought, if you're sad, it's cos you choose to be sad. try to appreciate & see the beauty of the small things in life; tomorrow is not promised.

Well if you don't have the will to find 2 part time jobs and return to school (which would be option #1), I suggest you try finding something you would like to do that could establish an online portfolio while having 3 part time jobs (or 2 full time jobs). Hell if you like video games, play them, make maps, create scenarios. I just heard from a friend who used to work at the post office (ie, no industry experience) and is now working under an online satellite of Bethesda Software because of his hobby projects including modifications and map making to Source-based games. So yeah, at least in that industry, still seems jagernauts(astronauts?) are still hiring dorks.
Put a tape recorder in the bathroom, smoke some marijuana and listen to yourself talk in the bathtub - at least make the attempt to spark your creativity. Write a scenario. Draw it. Explore it. Think about how to revolutionize the circle. There is a market for every idea, even a comic book with dinosaurs, guns, and war combined in musical acts which require the use of a cassette player.

I am going through exactly same situation right now, only difference is that i am 22.

- Drop your SHOULD's (Who says you have to be a movie star on steroids driving sport cars and scoring all the chicks??)
- Lower your expectations. Expect less get more!
- Don't set the bar high for self and the world and others.
- Accept not perfect things in life, because life is imperfect.
- Life is about how you CHOSE to react to everything.
- Stop beating yourself up with a bat for every small thing.
- It is a waste of time being sad.
- Set realistic goals that you can reach, and not what other people want you to.
- Stop climbing the guild and worry treadmill, trust me man its not worth it worrying about things you have no control over, just accept it and be happy with what you have, appreciate it.

Most importantly stop harboring self-hate and love yourself for who you are even if you are imperfect.

Remember to stay Persistently Positive and Confident in whatever you do VS being Bold and Chore some.

Remember there is NO SUCH THING AS FAILURE.

Try to develop positive self talk, accept your imperfections, learn how to forgive yourself and care about yourself. You are special.

Positive self talk is the key, break the habit of negative thinking.
This is just a summarry of what i have learned after being in deepest depths of depression, i hope this helps and you can learn from my mistakes.

i'm not sure everyone will find their greater purpose in life if one does exist that is. you kind of just have to live and enjoy what you are doing. if you aren't then find something that will make you happy.
