| usually its a 6 week wait period before the first issue for any of these things....didnt say that when signing up though. |

| yeah my conf email from July 2nd says 4-6 weeks... tomorrow would be 6 weeks for me... maybe they nixed all the orders that came from that particular promo code?? |

1. go to http://www.maxim.com/
2. at the bottom of the page, click "renew your subscription"
3. enter your email address as well as your postal code
4. it should tell you the status of your subscription
5. ???
6. profit
I read that a lot of subscriptions were cancelled and Maxim is now asking for $15 from people. Some subscriptions went through, though. If you see, "Our records show that your last order was placed on Jun. 30, 2009 for 12 issues. Your expiration date is AUG 2010 and your balance due is $.00," then you should be okay. |

I wrote and complained that I was told I was getting a free subscription. I got an auto-response the same day, and today I got this:
Dear Mr. Cat,
We apologize for any confusion. We reactivated your subscription and your first issue will arrive in 6-8 weeks. Please allow 7-10 business days for this to update in your account online.
Thank you for subscribing to Maxim.
First you will get an autoresponder message but soon after that you will get a message stating your re-activation. |
