Techno is here -they sometimes call it prog. They sometimes call it tech house..they sometimes call it dubstep - but make no mistake its all farken techno and its the in thing worldwide right now.

Just like the early 90s.

And just like the early 90s prog is just about an unheard of thing - there is not even a progressive section in mixmag anymore. And this is a sure sign its just about to be reborn.

Union Jack and platipus are back and writing awesome tunes (check out the newie funnelweb) - and SALT ING TANK is back with tunes like this:-

these are only but 2 examples of what im seeing everywhere

it sounds like old trance - but its bloody 2009 - what is going on?

ill tell ya whats going on - the true trance sound is about to explode - thats whats going on.

i have waited about 8 years for this, some have waited much, much longer - here it ing comes - techno turns into trance then trance into prog.

the circle is complete.

ing fantastic

ps i m totally sober :s

Commercial house used to be spectacular. It was around 2004 that it all started to go down hill. Prior to that we had tunes like Jakatta feat. Seal - My Vision and Moony - Dove.

very true, just sick of all that electro/dirty south house nowadays. 2003 annual for australasia (black cover) by MoS is still incredible

NAIL. HEAD.

How many compilations would dare to mix trance with house these days and actually pull it off? None!

http://www.discogs.com/Various-The-.../release/211174

So many good tunes; Reckless Girl, The Sound of Violence, Thrill Me, Dove, Come on Over, Silver Screen Shower Screen, The Weak Become Heroes, Lazy, Fine Day, My Vision, Mother, Safe From Harm, Superstylin', Genedefekt, Star Guitar, Out of the City.

You've just inspired me to go and dig up my copy. I can't believe that was more than five years ago.
