Trance... what does it mean to you in 2010 (as we are half-way there)?

I get into melodic techno and tech-house and still find tha feeling, that groove... yet it is not 'trance' as what people know. Not a problem, but just an observation. What music puts you in a 'trance'?

It means 3 minute intro, build, break 3 minute outro, produced by some head kid that just pirated a copy of FL studio, knows jack about history of EDM and wants to be as big as DJ Tiesto so bitches can snort cocaine off his c0ck.

Kris G, it looks like you came to the wrong place to discuss trance. The customary response to a trance topic here is ridicule, cracks about Tiesto and Jesus poses, and pictures of unicorns.

Everyone here has moved on and listens to much deeper and more complex thud-thud-thud four-note melody music than trance now. Stuff with saxophones and chords that have sevenths and even ninths in them. Me oh my! This proves that they are very sophisticated and advanced listeners, and demand much more out of music than trance can hope to deliver.

Kris, any tracks you'd like to list as an example of those you like?
