Well, you didn't get to hear him mix "Funkagenda - What The ?" into "Red Hot Chili Peppers - By The Way (Peter Gelderblom Remix)". And in all fairness, if a mix sounds awkward it isn't a good mix, is it? ;)

Yeah, I've never heard him trainwreck. But as you know, beatmatching is only a part of pulling off a good mix. He also mixes in key, and one of the purposes of that (if not the main one) is for a DJ to be able to have seamless transitions and get creative by layering melodies, vocals, and stuff. So I really wonder why the hell does he bother keying all his tracks only to pull off crossfader slams. :conf:

its not like he was asked what techno was. he made a simple statement that glenn morrison throws down some techier songs, which is completely true. and the only comparison he made between hawtin and morrison is their style behind the decks...

"Techier" and "Techno" have absolutely nothing to do with one another and what Glenn Morrison plays does not even slightly resemble Techno in any way. Farty basslines and loud, screeching supersaws =/= Techno. Someone who has been making a living out of EDM for over 12 years should know better.
Do you actually think that Glenn Morrison and Richie Hawtin have the same "style behind the decks"? Not only do they play completely different genres, they don't even play with the same media, ffs. Richie Hawtin uses 2 laptops, midi controllers, and 4 deck Traktor Scratch action w/control vinyls. Glenn Morrison is an A to B DJ with CDJs.
