Take Lyoto Machida. Nobody in the world thought Karate would be effective in MMA competition. Since he was able to adapt his Karate knowledge to MMA, he's a HUGE puzzle for all fighters.

I gotta say I go by this movie line/quote by Bruce Lee. Both in Martial Arts & Music:

Teacher: What is the highest technique you hope to achieve?
Lee: To have no technique.

:)

GSP's Base martial arts is also Karate. He is just such a freak he happened to pick up everything pretty easly.

True. GSP is a complete fighter. He really don't rely on 1 style like Machida does tho.

Machida isn't really one-dimensional.

He has very slick BJJ, and great judo as well.

That's true. But he has not used it yet. He hasn't been on the ground since the Tito Ortiz fight. He has rely exclusively on striking.

He has tons of weapons, but why use them if he doesn't need to? He uses throws and foot sweeps exceedingly well when he needs to. His tendency to stand with people hasn't exactly done him wrong so far! :)

GSP!!!!!

Je dois ma joie de Québec au Canada! il est fou, et j'adore son style!!!!!

^^lol dont know if I said that **perfectly**, but love my Frenchie from Canada!! Love his style of play, his craziness, intensity, and respect towards other players (although I do fear this match will be tough for him!!) wahoooooo!!
Gmoney666
A better fight would be Gmoney666 vs. gmoney44 to determine who is the true gmoney. Gmoney666 would win as he is the original gmoney.

Hehe nice! Can I be the promoter? LoL

P.S: Be back with my picks
Gmoney666
There can only be one gmoney. Gmoney666 and gmoney44 should battle for the title of Gmoney. Gmoney666 will win as he is the true gmoney and gmoney44 is an imposter gmoney.

Preliminary card

*Lightweight bout: Shannon Gugerty beats Matt Grice by submission.
Result: Shannon Gugerty def. Matt Grice via submission (guillotine choke) - Round 1, 2:36

*Middleweight bout: C.B. Dollaway beats Tom Lawlor by submission. [Most likely: Peruvian NeckTie]
Result: Tom Lawlor defeats C.B. Dollway via submission (guillotine choke) - Round 1, 0:55. [I'm shocked, C.B. got cocky tho. Never underestimate your opponent]

*Welterweight bout: Dong Hyun Kim beats TJ Grant by KO
Result: Dong Hyun Kim def. T.J. Grant via unanimous decision (30-26, 30-26, 30-26)

*Light Heavyweight bout: Jon Jones beats Jake O'Brien by KO
Result: Jon Jones def. Jake O'Brien via submission (guillotine choke) - Round 2, 2:43.

~*~This is where I'm gonna get controversial~*~

*Lightweight bout: Jim Miller beats Mac Danzig by decision [Miller will represent NJ this time]
Result: Jim Miller def. Mac Danzig via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27). [Bloody match; Jersey style!]

*Light Heavyweight bout: Mark Coleman vs. Stephan Bonnar= I came up with different outcomes but 2 are likely: Bonnar gets the decision or Coleman gives Bonnar a KO. [Call me crazy but that's how I see it]
Result: Mark Coleman def. Stephan Bonnar via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28).

Main card

*Middleweight bout: Yoshihiro Akiyama beats Alan Belcher by Submission or KO
Result: Yoshihiro Akiyama def. Alan Belcher via split decision (30-27, 28-29, 29-28).

*Middleweight bout: Dan Henderson beats Michael Bisping by KO or TKO [Yes, Bisping has weapons & he has improved. but he has not fought top caliber fighters like Hendo has. If Bisping wins, he should blowing Rampage for giving him pointers].
Result: Dan Henderson def. Michael Bisping via TKO (strikes) - Round 2, 3:20. [PWNAGE!]

*Welterweight bout: Paulo Thiago beats Jon Fitch by submission. [Something tells me Fitch will take him lighly]
Result: Jon Fitch def. Paulo Thiago via unanimous decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28).

*Welterweight Championship bout: Thiago Alves beats Georges St-Pierre by KO. [St. Pierre has somwhat of a glass chin. Alves hits HARD. GSP can still win it but I just dont see it].
Result: Georges St-Pierre def. Thiago Alves via unanimous decision (50-45, 50-44, 50-45) to retain UFC welterweight title.

*Heavyweight Championship unification bout: Frank Mir vs. Brock Lesnar. In the first 2 rounds I give it to Lesnar by TKO. 3rd to 5th rounds it's gonna be Mir by KO. I see Mir winning on the 4th round.
Result: Brock Lesnar def Frank Mir via TKO (strikes) - Round 2, 1:48 to retain UFC heavyweight title.

Those are my picks. Most people will think I'm nuts but taht's how I'm calling it. We'll see how I do this time :)
