| Last night TBS showed the "picture wall" episode where Jerry tells everyone to stop kissing him hello haha... Oh, and George found a manakin that looked like Elaine hahaha... Just made me think of that, I dunno... |

| It's a moving body of water so it's not THAAAAT bad like a lake or something would be. But that would be scary, too much crap in there. |

| I've been training for the NY triathlon for 2 years now and the only thing that has prevented me from actually doing it is the fact that I have to swim in the hudson. A team mate of mine did it last year, after the race about 2hrs after he had a horrible rash all over his body. If you plan on doing this, I suggest on the jersey side at Ross Dock or Englewood Boat Basin. Also, you might want to take a shower immediately after you exit the water, I wouldn't go no more than 30 mins after you exit the water. Good luck and let me know how it goes...I've actually been looking at the docking fee's at Englewood to park a summer jetski so I can cruise the harbor, hoping this will reduce my fears of how clean the hudson is and ultimately jump in for the ny tri! |

This is a very random post, but I've been thinking about taking a jump into the Hudson lately... My new apartment is right on the cliff and faces directly across 70th St. in Manhattan, and every morning I get to look at the river in all its splendor.
Does anyone have any experiences in this? I know there's a few swimming events a year, but I'm literally just gunna be jumping off one of the old docks here, close enough to the side where I can just climb back up...
It's one of those crazy things in life I think I want to be able to say I've done haha...
The next question is, does anyone wanna join me? The girl I'm seeing, she's down. We almost did it a few weeks ago; she said she'd do it if I did it, so I decided I'm gunna do it haha... Any takers?
Then, I'll write a song about it, maybe haha.. |
I think you are safe as long as you dont jump straight from your 'new' appartment.. besides i have seen kramer, friends of jerry sienfeld swim in that sewage river too.. he was fine.
You might consider to wait for cure to skin cancer first before you take the holy dip. |
