| yeah what worries ME the most is that more so then iggnorant people, well respected ppl diss it also people over here in terms of djs and ppl in the know really do frown upon it its seen as commercial and.... crap... which makes me a bit ashamed too i think eugene said before too paul van dyk and sasha and all have problems with the word trance which i guess is good then because i lik ethere music and if the 'trance' there talking about would obviously not be there own style and therefore not what i like... (maybe they refer to the overly cheesy) but i do also get the general vibe just trance on the whole is frowned upon even if its quality trance that we so love... i think either people genuinly think its crap or jump on the same bandwagon as everyone else and groups it with the other commercial that comes out and is labeled as trance |

| Ppl hear in Georgia really don't like Trance......soem don't even call it Trance.....they classify it all as Techno.....the closes thing we play to Trance here is Nu Sk. Breaks w/ Trance elements thrown in produced by the awsome Florida producers......:D But I've noticed while in the Dj booth when we start to merge from Rap to breaks the dance floor clears greatly......:eek: |

| everyone around here thinks castles in the sky and sandstorm are the only trance tracks around and that pissed me off. they use that as an example for what i listen to and then call it gay. |

| Around here apparantly trance is Lasgo and Milc Inc so it sucks. I hate when ppl get commercial dance mixed up with trance and then say it sucks. |

there's coupla things that everyone has to understand. In another thread here about whether or not trance should stay underground, almost everyone said that trance should stay underground. If we still want to keep trance underground, we can't expect the general public to embrace our music like we do. Thats what makes this music special to us and us only. So let's keep it that way.
I can see why a lot of people diss trance. If you asked me 8 years ago, id prolly say, "I dont listen to that techno shiet," but then I wouldnt be cool anymore and chicks wouldnt dig me.

| yea not many people like trance, at least as much as I do or around here, just the stuff everyone likes Like sandstorm.....I dont know anyone anyways, and yea most people think its gay, but oh well I mean who cares I like it I could care less what other people think, i make fun of people who like rap and country...whatever |

| The one thing that appealed to me about trance, was the fact that not many people liked it.. of course, thats now why i listen to it, its just one of the benifits of listing to it. Theres nothing better, than converting somoen who once hated it, to loving it. :D |

| Well Sasha and Digweed spin progressive Trance. And PvD spins more Hard house than trance. So these guys don't want to be called Trance DJ's. Ferry, Tiesto and AvB are Trance trance. And they seem to be leaning towards the progressive stuff. I see most liked Trance in the future to be Progressive Trance with a lot of Techno parts in it. Maybe that's why I like PvD and Digweed morre than any other DJ's. |

I also hate it when people say the music I listen to is that "techno " or "the gino club mix.":whip: But I must say, I am visiting the UK right now and the presence and availability of trance is nothing like North America. It almost makes trance less unique to listen too. I like it back in Canada where I can at least feel like an individual for listening to trance. Here it's like...trance is passe...you need to listen to deep funky house or something newer..
But that's not stopping me from going to GLOBAL GATHERING!!:D |

| People always stare at me whenever I'm drivng around pumping trance. I guess they expect to be hearing some Eminem since I'm white :rolleyes: Toronto Trance said it best, like what you like and don't worry what other people think about you :) |

| Well a lot of people here in Mississauga think trance is the they play on the radio. Oh well I love cranking it goin around TO and my area :D hehehe. I don't care though I love it so screw them :D lol |

| YEah , this sux, trance is dissed bad at times, what sux is that the stupid commercial songs make it beeen dissed, since those that heard those stupid commercialized songs, may think that thats all the trance, and dont know whats in back of it, which is mainly the good stuff. Many people dont like trance for the fact that they say that it sounds all the same, monotnic, and they dont like that , another thing is, they say that all THE songs are like the same tune .. sad that my g/f says that :confused: |
