IMO if a DJ or producer's music is bad, I'm not going to praise them simply b/c they're from my country. In essence, it would be promoting bad music, when I'd rather not support them, and they end up working harder and hopefully get better at what they do |

Okay, now I understand what you're saying, thanks.
I don't understand where all of your frustration is coming from though. Like I said, on this message board alone there is a LOT of praise for Canadian (and esp. local Toronto) artists. So why are you so worked up? Is it because you can't get people to play your music? Well if that's the case, maybe you should try to revamp it. Try something different, or ask producers what you can do to make them want to play it.
And you're 100% right. No one can tell you what music you like or think is good. But keep that in mind when you're bringing your music to DJs and you want them to play it. Their opinion of good may be different than yours. If you still can't get anyone to play your music...do it yourself! |
