Why are you complaining about something you dont pay attention too...
Its clear that you dont.
TOTA is full of local supporters. Including myself.
And I do tell my friends and others about my favourite locals and I do wish to see them do well. I think most people on this forum can say the same.
I think you need to STFU as you just admitted you have no idea what you are talking about. |

Id never pay attention to something thats already been done
People pay attention to djs/producers who do something different
I dont pay much attention to Canadian music in general
Theres only a few djs/artist who are different they are usually the successful ones |

I put as much effort in to see my fav locals as I do my fav international DJs.
However at times international djs do take more importance on some weekends... why? THEY ARE INTERNATIONAL. I love jon jon's sets but I know I can see him play every week. When my fav. international djs come i know I wont seem them for another 6 months - never.
That being said I think TOTAs do make effort to support their local DJS. If you have paid any attention to TOTA while you have been gone Nuera - Andrew McDonald has had several roll calls for his events and lots of people have been making extra effort to attend his events. There have been threads promoting locals who have made it to beatport. There have been threads to say how much a local rocks. There have been reviews saying that our locals were the stars of the nights and played better than international djs. We are always to excited to see locals open for huge headliners. We go skybar, footwork, zone, guv, boatcruises every week JUST TO SEE LOCALS.
TOTA loves locals.

Open you're ing eyes and look at ANY other thread on TOTA besides your own and you'll see LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS of praise for Canadian DJs. So much to the point that some people get annoyed with some people who'll never admit if a local DJ has an off night.
The more you talk, the more you're digging yourself a whole b/c you're just showing how ignorant you are to the topic that you're trying to push on us. The majority of people on TOTA GREATLY support Canadian talent, I think it's you that isn't doing your "job". |
