| Yes but platonic love essentially means you love another person and have no desire to be with them physically/sexually. Just because you're in elementary school doesn't necessarily change that fact. |

Well you're still wrong, and obviously misunderstand what platonic love is. You can't even modify it to include lust by the very definition of what platonic love is, lol.
You're talking about unrequited love, as I already said:

All right, I stand corrected.

But it is kind of what happens in elementary school, isn't it? I know I didn't have any desire to be with those girls physically in any sort of way :conf: |

To your knowledge at the time I'd imagine. You still wanted some kind of connection from them. |

| One of my favorite movies ever is about unrequited love. 'Besieged' with Thandie Newton and David Thewlis. Such a good flick. I find unrequited love to be terribly romantic. *le sigh* |

| it's romantic as a spectator sport i guess. when it's some guy who loves you and you don't want anything to do with him, women tend to find it creepy/pathetic. |

Doesn't it depend on the situation? (I.e. the feelings of the woman for the guy and/or the reasons why the guy conceals his feelings?)

Maybe, maybe... so, got any stories to tell? Any reason why you think like that about unrequited love?

Me too! Not "Besieged", though, mine is about a girl that has a crush on another girl, and it's called "Show me Love". It's a Swedish film, and I'd watch it over and over as a teen. I like how subtle it is about their feelings, and how it deals with prejudice in general.
It's very... different. It doesn't have any of the lesbonic explosion you find in "Chasing Amy" (which is about the love story of a guy and a lesbian-briefly-turned-bisexual girl), and that's why I think this film is so uplifting :) |
