My answer changed over time.
As I saw my objects of affection constantly drifting away because we grew up, I realised this distant happiness was ephemeral, and I wondered whether I could (and should) do something about it.
So, as time passed, I came to the conclusion that I had to do something after all... and whenever I had a crush on someone, I'd eventually open up. Sometimes, I think I waited too long. But, we learn from our mistakes :) |

I was thinking about this boy I really liked when I was 11. He moved in across the street from my mom that summer and he was extremely cute. His name was Phillip. I knew he liked me too, and I can still remember the way he'd look at me that it was such a dead giveaway. I know I was only 11...but for real I could feel something between us and it was so intense. He would come call on me and we'd hang out together all day..most of the time barely speaking two words to each other. We just wanted to be around each other.
I wish I could go back in time and kiss him. I was totally in love with that guy. :/
edit: I also remember how sweet and protective he was of me. I remember one day at the beach I got out of the water and was sitting with my mom eating a sandwich...he noticed I had goosebumps and gave me his towel. Omgidie. |
