What would you do in this scenario?

Let's say you pay mortgage every month as an investment for a new house in a good neighborhood in which your parents put an initial downpayment on. The amount you pay is about 2/3 of your monthly paycheck, and it is a 30 year loan. So short term you're pretty cash strapped.
But your parents happen to live there as well, and there is no timetable of them moving out, so basically very little privacy along with the usual nagging/bitching that comes with living with them. Would you suck it up and enmbrace it as a house that you'll eventually own in the future, or just move out and rent an apartment or room? |

You are paying your parents rent and they only made a down paymnt on the place? |

| I would ask them to stop nagging and treating me like a child. If I knew that having their help meant they were going to continue to treat me like a baby, I wouldn't have taken all from them. And if they want to to continue to throw it in my face, they can help pay the ing mortgage, too. |

It's not exactly "rent" as like renting an apartment, its money that they can return to you if you decide to bail out. So if I decide to get out I can get all the money back. |

without their money you would have no house.
this is what happens when you let people do stuff like this for you, it gives them power over you.
either refund them the downpayment or suck it up imo. |

i would move out and do my own thing. when/if they ever sell the house, get back what you've paid, even it means getting a lawyer involved.
