Since Martial art classes are excluded, I'll speak for the "competitive" martial artist

334 fights from the time I was 11 to the time I was 24
AAA Rated NMAC CAN AM, A and B rated Open tournaments.

Best fights are the CAN AM....turnout of roughly 1,000 and best trophies too(Usually 6ft trophy or sword for first place).

If anyone is interested, you should drop by and see some good fighting:

Barring hockey fights (which there were usually 3 to 5 a season from Peewee until NCAA .... I was a goalie my entire time btw), I have had a few. Never instigated one off the ice though. A couple times jumping in to help a buddy that was getting dummied at a bar, and the last time was at Oktoberfest in Kitchener. When it wrapped up, some dumbass pushed the girl I was seeing at the time off the curb she was sitting on & rocked her face off the pavement. Successfully extracteed at least of that fool's 3 teeth and HE got tossed in the paddy wagon, while security just held me away sayin "we saw what he did, nice work" lol.

I was in a few fights as a kid. But after that, i grew up.

I have not had a need to physically fight since then.

About 3 weeks ago myself and a group of about 20 friends celebrated a girlfriends birthday with bottle service and all that good stuff at Reign. As many of you know Reign is right in the middle of the entertainment district, right at richmond and peter street.

When we stepped out of the club at 2:45am this place was a ing warzone. Fights everywhere, police shut down peter street, cops on bikes/horses/foot all around trying to settle down a couple fights. Well, these gangstaz start a fight with one of the smallest dudes in our crew so a couple of us jumped in to stop it, the gangstaz start throwin punches and hit the small guy and kick him while hes down, so we proceeded to them up. This only lasted a few seconds there was about 4 gangstaz to 5 or 6 of us at that point. Gave one guy a solid knock to the face and some good kicks while he was down.

All the girls in our party were screaming their heads off so annoyingly that we brough ourselves down the street a little to get away from all that, thinking wow that was stupid lets go home. So were waiting for our limo to come and all i see is those same gangstaz coming back in our direction with like 5 more dudes. I just thought to myself holy christ this is gonna be stupid. They come back to all of us (this time our whole group is there) and face off. Couple words later....massive brawl ensues. I run around the back of the gangstaz and just start knocking all of them in the head and ing up anyone i can. Then karma hits and i get hit in the back of the head.

Right after i get hit, i see cops coming out of the corner of my eye so i just pretend like nothing happened and walk away. The cops run in and start throwing people to the ground, cops on horses just ing people up containing them too. Madness.

Well thats the last time I was in a real fight but I usually NEVER get into fights. The last time i fought before that was high school in grade 10 against some dude in grade 11. stupid . And that was the only real fight i got into before this. I am the most calm person ever, and very passive but this was just one time where i felt that i needed to jump in and protect my homies.

Honestly, I dont think I'll ever get into another fight again. Totally not worth it. Theres no use in getting a criminal record if i snap and bottle someone in the head.

that was a long story.

Man, I used to fight A LOT back in high school. It got to the point that they actually wanted to expel me permanently from the school board and insisted I go see they're psychologist about anger.

Turns out I was just a normal kid who happened to get in a lot of fights, probably the people I hung around with then. It was always some stupid macho bravado thing guys tend to do when they're young.

Then I started going to raves and those happy pills they would give to all the kids made me a better person, more in touch with my emotions I guess.

:)

The last time I was in actual fight was maybe five or six years ago at a bar. Some drunk was pushing his girl and we told him to stop, he then tried to punch me in the face and missed. I think he went down with one or two shots and they kicked him out, it wasn't much of a fight.

But his girl had a great time drinking with us after....lol

In Bath England, they solve their problems with a 'proper fight'.

You could say it's a part of their culture.

I was in Hammersmith West London at the hostel I was staying at and a local Brit I was drinking with for 3 hours was saying "It's a cool little place but watch it later..." was a bit worried. I saw 2 fights withing 10 minutes, one was just stupid. One guy got put on the ground and was being kicked by 8 people, gets up right after, goes to the bouncer and says "Those guys can't fight worth " lol.

As for me, just one fight in grade school, got my ass handed to me in Gr 5 or so. Never fought again, it takes a lot to really piss me off...

I, like b4k-oz, enjoyed the martial arts when we were younger. we're naturally conditioned to avoid these situations, so they just don't happen. There's no boasting, no machismo, no fanaticism about reputation or streed cred. I've been lunged at one outside a club, but a little sidestep and push he went past me and into a wall where he got hurt and went down on his own, the dumbass. Fighting is simply something people grow out of.
