kay ill try and write a litll bit even though im still feeling miserably with huge headache...but no..thats got nothing to do with drinking im just cold (maybe excessive use of airconditioning during the nights?)
To sum it up ill say two things:
Bad: NO sex :sadgreen: :whip: ;)
Good: Everything else was simply PERFECT!
I guess theres hardly any better feeling than sitting on the beach "watching the waves" with Heineken beer (which i got addicted to during this week) hearing pumping progressive trance from huge speakers and seeig swedish girls "morhot krem shezuf" all over their perfect tanned super body!
Okay so the trip was a kind of a we-finished-school-celebration-trip that all austrians make together (the entire class) (without teachers). We are a tiny class qith TWELVE ppl, where 3 didnt wanna go..so we stayed 9, which is nicer though..imagine a trip 1ith some 38 pupils..So we were relaxing at the pool or beach, nice clean sea, perfect weather..not too hot..sometimes windy. Food was nice, resturants were kind of clean, had nice mediterenean food which i missed so much (shish kebab, shuarma and such things). The waiters are rarely greeks, though. Every barman, waiter, whatever...is some1 on vacation himself, which makes communication (english) much easier and lets you more possibilities to flirt with say...some australian chick ;)
Which leads me to the ethnic composition of the island's tourists. As Izzy told me, there were surprisingly many australians, swedish, irish english and of course many austrians. I have not seen ANY "real" Israeli (just one but ill tell you later). I guess they're all coming now, in July. Pitty would have liked to talk to some.
Nightlife:
Theres this main street with clubs, and the "old city" with lots of narrow streets stores and pubs. First night we just went from place to place to check it out. Most of the clubs were re-opening just during the week we arrived. As I expected the music was old and cheesy. Theres this Austrian Bar which played Bon Jovi and like that. Many drunken austrians...we went on..Irish Pub- Izzy recommended me this one but i guess it'll get much nicer in July when more ppl (esp. Israelis come). It was after all just a nice pub with a pool table and green toilets...and a a bug TV that showed hstorical world cup games in black n white. The other Irish bar was much nicer "Swet Irish dream" had its own DJ, was comfortable and cheap SUPERB cocktails ( I fell in love with "San Francisco" a mixture between Gin, wodka, orange juice and some bana creme..).
Then we got into this "disco" which seemed to be the busiest most crowded one: Club 69...WOOT! Even being drunk as I hated this place" The most commercial place on earth! They had once mixed cd which theyx played OVER AND OVER!! 6 times a night, EVERY night. With hits like "we like to party" and "it's raining men" :nervous:
So at first I was quite disappointed and decided that id have to drink tones of alcohol in order to enjoy it a bit!
So I did, and my friends too...And it rocked :) That must have been one of my funniest nights ever. At 4 am u see the entire center, the streets packed with ppl lying on the ground ..every1 happy and drunk, but its all positivie (except for one english hooligan that smashed his heineken bittle over some1's face). So you just go from group to group, or just call ppl to your group and talk about , and laugh ur ass off. I talked to some Norwegians about Spiderman and Oslo's club culture..with some Yugoslavian about why he hates croatia and how he ed 2 australian gurlz the other night(he was like picking himself 2 girls every night!)..talked to Irish and Australians..
And once Im like talking to some1 in english about some hot girl next to us, and hes telling me that hes actually from madrid--so we continue in spanish..then i make some sentences in french and hes like "WTF? how many languages do u know?" and im like.."hehe if u knew, i even speak the unimportant hebrew language, you know israel at all?" and hes like laughing his ass off and saying in hebrew "pshh...haragta oti ahi, ani gam noladeti baarez". Now hes studying in London..told me how "posh"(snobbish and strict door policy) all Trance clubs in London are.
From that day everything turned great! Next day at our hotel's pool the bartender (who turned out to be a total house and progressive freak) played sets by dann howells, dave seaman etc. all day long! What a joy to hear progressive and relaxing in the sun! Once he was even spinning himself! It appeared as if the entire Island is House-addicted ..It felt like Ibiza cause in every restaurant u could hear House (prog. , tribal, deep sexy..) and sometimes trance (once an oakenfold set was played. And we finally found a club with such a music. It is completely new and is called "Aftershock". Its like totally snobbish with exquisite expensive furniture, elegant sofas and stuff. The DJ (resident in LA and San Francisco) was the most skilled one I've ever heared playing live! Music was not my favourite (deep deep house). I just enjoyed the mixing abilities. Sat there with my cocktails and such :eyespop: eyes. Later I went up to him and chatted a few minutes and he vene played a bit more progressive as I wished him to do. So yeah, great music but NO ppl. Almost empty!
Next day we're there again, once agian quite empty and us 9 the only dancers..until some of the 2 hottest girls on earth appear and dance with us..we're all like
:wtf: :eek: :D :cool: as they come closer and talk..Till we find out the bitter truth: they are ing SLUTS! Not real ones but ones who workd at the club and are supposed to seduce naive 18 year olds like us so we'd drink and pay.. :) As son as we found that out the club lost our sympathy.. Such a nice club with such a shallow and cheap way to screw us, their best crowd, the only ones dancing! :whip:
But then..oh then... The "Scorpion" finally re-opned. Izzy told me this would be actually a nice club with nice music. But it was much more than that! Super lasers, surprisingly big club, LOTS of ppl (most crowded disco there) and TRaaaaaaaannceeee! The Dj before 4 am kinda sucked, bad mixing and same tunes all over (operation blade !)) but now and then he also dropped bombs like shane - c'est musique. But afterwards..the REAL party started! all ppl leaving the other pubs, being already happy and/or drunk enter and make it ing crowded. Another DJ comes and spins perfectly beginning once again with HOUSE and getting finally to Trance, superb trance! The last day was the most beaitufl one: I ing danced for 5 (2 of them totally drunk and just feeling the music all over!)hours till 7 am,,, and yeah..6-7 am was probably one of the most beautiful moments of life. I was sober again realizing what tunes the guy dropped. Prog trance and classics like MORE and MORE, the nighfly...and then then..he fnished it with SILENCE! OMG. That the point where i was dying. Can u imagine dancing at 7 am with crazy happy ppl who actually all LOVE the music and sing the lyrics like u do? Got goosebmps all over..then lights went on, me and 3 friends (others went to sleep earlier) left the club and were welcomed by the hot IOS sun and a view over the beach, the sea... (city is quite high over the beach)ing amazing. we WENT home and it felt great despite my headache and my deafness at that time.
Kay to make it short...as for girls:
I realized that u gotta be at least over 18 to get really many oppurtunities and chances. 24,23 is the ideal age. I was still a minority being under (even though i heared all israelis that would come were also at the same age..). But basically if u really want its quite easy unless u really go for the hottest chicks. I was once approached by some british ..but she was so slutty that I just went away. On the other hand i was like dancing to one nice gurl for like 20 minutes till some huge sewdish guy comes, just turns her aroung, kisses her and makes her almost come with his ing knee. Then i relzed im way too naive and shy :thepirate Still..unfair world. The other time I was dancing with one girl then got kinda sick of her and found her not too attractive after all..then some1 came danced wildly with her..and suddenly i got jealous as hell! I was like "!! how stupid was i!! shes gorgeous"..I guess im too stupid :(
