have to agree with most of those. sushi samba is more south american cuisine influenced though and i'm meh about that.
ruby foo's from above? no way - a chinese place (and americanized at that) for sushi? guess i'd have to try it?
i'd like to add zutto and sushi azabu to the list, both in tribeca. zutto is a bit more homey, azabu a bit more intimate (as it's downstairs in the greenwich grill). |

^^I worked at ruby foo's on 50th street while in grad school, and I loved their sushi. And I am a huge sushi person. They are very creative with their rolls, but also have very fresh sashimi....and a huge selection!!
(btw Ruby Foo's is Pan-asian, not chinese!)
I would also recommend their sake flights, they have everything from the cheap stuff to the uber expensive kind.....(the speciality cocktails and drinks there are also on POINT!) |
