Not sure how good OFP2 is going to be.

ArmA 2 is the direct descendant from the original OFP.

ArmA has its bugs, but OFP2 looks to be more action than simulation.

yeah, the lesser $$ spent on it though will always show through, and (as you've mentioned) in a game like this, it almost always shows itself in bugs :/ im a big fan of codemasters too, and im not necessarily after the most realistic sim available. OFPDR looks far more realistic than the old-school rogue spear games, and i loved those.

ArmA shines online, it has a few issues with lag and syncing when there is lots of players on a server (like 35+) or when lots of people are flying.

i simply dont enjoy online shooters. lag ruins it for me. and im in australia, our net sucks the wang!

True, though we do have some UK players in our unit and our servers are out of Texas.

They mainly stick to doing things like heavy indirect fire or repairs though, stuff where they wont end up in combat as much.

I've been hooked on Fallout 3 lately. If you are interested in RPGs you should definitely check it out. The game is so frakkin huge I doubt I will ever see everything there is. Definitely the best single player game I've ever played. As for multiplayer, Team Fortress 2 as always.
