+1, technology and new ideas are dumb. I don't even know why people send e-mails when they can just phone one another. Actually, scrap that: Why the hell would I want to have a phone anyway? twitter is basically for people who want to feel important as far as i'm concerned. it's an audience for them. at least on TA, there is a topic posted and everyone is sharing views, fighting, etc.. lol but for someone to just be walking in the mall and see a shirt on sale and be like, "OMG! I'm twittering this right now". it's like their very own reality tv show. NO ONE ING CARES.
i feel the same way about people who constantly have a "status" on their facebook. i mean some of the ones i read are funny or interesting, but i also have a lot of ppl on my facebook who are like, "going to the gym" ------> "just got back from the gym! about to eat dinner" ---------> "ooh! my favorite tv show is on. yay" -------> "omg my dog just peed on the floor".

+ infinity. A girl I have known since I was 10 has fallen victim to this double whammy. She just had her first baby and is now a stay at home mom... she updates her facebook every 30 minutes with drivel like, "Going to the grocery store." "Just returned from the store... whew!" She evidently does the same constantly with twitter, full of updates about her baby's every move. A mutual friend was showing me her FB page and how everyone is so sick of her, that only her mom and aunt reply to her posts now...lol. She never struck me as the type, but I guess especially with the new baby she thinks everyone cares and wants to know. I want to be like, "You aren't as important as you think. Get over yourself." |
